Default posting via airsure (uk)

i used airsure for the first time last week, i usually use royal mail international signed for, what i'd like to know is , is the tracking usually sketchy ? i sent the item on the 17th and the only info i've got so far is that it arrived in new york on the 18th, this info was on the usps site .
surely by now it should be showing something new ??? i would have expected it be have arrived by now really .
any input greatly appreciated, the recipient is a fellow pf'er
thanks

I've used it once - for a document - and it didn't update from memory - as I needed a registration certificate sent back to Texas for my cat - and I needed to make sure they got it - so I sent it Airsure. I was a bit concerned as it didn't update - next thing I knew - it had been delivered - although it wasn't updated regularly on the site. So I wouldn't worry overly on this - it just seems to be something which happens.

I'm livid this morning - I paid $245 for an item - and I've just had a letter from ParcelForce asking me for £35.82 for VAT and their Clearance Fee. What a nerve - I'm inclined not to pay it - and let it be returned to the seller. She can keep it.

Yes i'm with Lescoy it just doesn't seem to update that much, next thing I usually know it says delivered! It is quicker than ISF imo and at least there is a bit of tracking unlike ISF so I tend to use airsure ever time I sent overseas unless the buyer specifically wants a signature on del.

nickyvintage - Thank you - yes their clearance fee £13.50 - Honestly - last time I had a charge - I paid online - and I didn't get the item - called them - the system had been 'problematic' - it took a week to get it. Service was really poor - although the guy at the Depot was very helpful - and it wasn't his fault - but you expect to get it when you pay it.

I agree. They are really slow with their updates, but I always use airsure when sending to friends and family in the states and the packages usually arrive within a week-sometimes a bit longer. Try not to worry, I am sure it will be delivered today or tomorrow.

Lescoy: I feel your pain. Don't even get me started on Parcelforce and their charges

uh tell me about it!

One package they didnt even send me a letter telling me i needed to pay. I was expecting a charge so i called them after i didnt receive it when i thought i would. They told me i had to wait until i got the letter so i could give them the reference number so that i could pay. Even though i had the customs number that allowed me to track the package actually ON the parcelforce website. Needless to say the letter never showed up so i had to actually go down there and beg for my package - well beg them to let me pay for the package, they didnt seem to mind me doing that lol! x

yep agree Airsure doesn't update frequently. I sent a parcel a few weeks back and it didn't arrive in Europe for nearly 3 weeks, i was really beginning to then about 4 or 5 days after it said it had arrived in the country it was updated as delivered. I also used it once to send a parcel to the US and it took 2 weeks, the buyer - a well known fellow PF'er - even filed a Paypal claim against me putting my Paypal account in to the negative by several hundred pounds, i couldn't believe it!

the most annoying thing, when you are tracking your stuff you get ''atempted delivery'' no they haven't ! they're waiting to be paid
i just got charged nearly £40 on a purse, ended up not liking it and i've put it back on eBay, ended up costing me £190 in the end, had to wait 3 weeks for it and there is no way i'm gonna get my money back on it, poosticks.

ooo don't get me started on the "we tried to deliver" stauts - no you didn't!!!!!!!! You didn't even come anywhere near my house.

If i'm waiting for something to arrive im normally sit at my window all day - nose pressed to the glass, "Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" x
