Exclamation Please help! I think I may have just thrown away $250!

I just received this message in my eBay messages regarding a Juicy Couture Nesting Doll charm I bought as a buy-it-now for $239 excluding s&h and insurance.

The following listing:

200237797513 - Juicy Couture Charm~Nesting Doll Charm~~NIB

has been removed from eBay for violating eBay policy. Since this listing was removed, you are not required to complete the transaction.

For a complete list of eBay?s policies, please visit:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/item_allowed.html

Regards,

Customer Support (Trust and Safety Department)

It was probably removed for being a fake charm!

I know it says I am under no obligation to pay, but I already did using PayPal!! I am so scared.

Is there any way to cancel the PayPal payment? I looked at my PayPal account and there really isn't any phone # to call!

This has never happened to me before!

Please help!!!

Check your paypal account to see if the transaction was completed or pending. You may be able to cancel it.

Something similar happened to me recently, they pulled the listing and the seller was no longer listed; but then I received a message a couple of days later saying that they had investigated and then they reversed my payment. Give it a couple of days to see if you get notice.
Hope everything works out!

If you paid with a credit card you can call the number on the back of your card and ask to do a chargeback.

This is an excellent idea if you used a cc. If not, call PayPal and explain the circumstances. Once you are talking to a live person, you will get far more help than through any emails to PayPal. 1-888-221-1161.

Okay, things just got weirder..

I noticed that the # for the item listing in the eBay msg does NOT match the # for the item I purchased.

But, I am not involved with another Nesting Doll charm in any way shape or form! What the HECK is going on??

I was watching that auction. The charm isn't fake, as far as I can tell. The seller probably just got hit with the newest wave of "copyright infringement" auction cancelations, that have been happening to people on this board as well. Email the seller and ask them what happened. Also, see if they will go through with the transaction (if you want to). Those charms were selling for over $300 last month so it's a good deal if you can keep it.

Don't freak about the auction numbers not matching. eBay's been known to put the wrong number in an email (I've seen it myself). Just make sure the email is in your inbox on Ebay as well, so you can be sure it's not a scam email.

ITA. Definitely email the seller. She (or he) could very well have been the victim of eBay's latest listing cancellation sprees.

Contact the seller immediately and sort it out with them as soon as possible. It may just be an error on EvilBAY's side, which is more than likely. They've been doing some crazy things lately.

I agree with you all. If I bought an item and received an email from eBay saying that the listing had been pulled, I would no longer automatically think, "I've been scammed." I do not trust eBay's knowledge of what's authentic and what is not. I think working this out with the seller makes perfect sense, if you still want the charm, RaquelleBelle!

Honestly there are a lot of "honest" sellers that get their auctions cancelled AFTER they sell. I would contact the seller to verify if they have mailed the item yet. I remember a few other posts where the transaction went just fine after one of those messages and the items were not fake.

I had that happen with one of my items and the buyer had received the item almost 3 weeks before eBay said they pulled my listing. I had already gotten positive feedback from the buyer and everything was fine.
