Default Please Help!!! Buy it Now Question

I hope someone can help me. I was wondering if there is a way to keep the Buy it Now option available on my listing once the reserve price has been met. If anyone can help I would soooo appreciate it.

If I'm not wrong, if your reserve price less than half of your BIN price, your BIN price will be still avalaible but I doubt about it since I think we never setup reserve half of our BIN price, right?>

I would think the only way this would be possible would be for you to say in your listing that all BIN offers will be considered. I believe that once the reserve is met, the BIN disappears - at least it always has on my listings. However, if someone makes an offer prior to the 12-hour cutoff, you have the right to accept the offer and end your auction. I would not make a habit of this, however. Buyers remember things like that. But desperate times do call for desperate measures, and right now, I just might consider it.

Also, eBay has been playing around with the Buy It Now price and at what point it disappears. As always, they have made a normal procedure entirely unpredictable.

^^ Thank you both for your idea's. I wish there was a definite way to do this. I won't even bother trying to find out through eBay. They are so seller un-friendly these days.

My understanding is that it disappears when reserve is met, and there isn't much you can do about it!

Unfortunately, there no way to keep the BIN after the reserve is met.

This is really interesting because I know in the past I've been watching a listing and the buy it now price is still there even when the item has no reserve price and the item has may bids on it. Or is there some way to secretly have a reserve price without is showing up on the listing?

The following categories will have Longer Lasting BIN with a price threshold of 50%.

1. Parts & Accessories (eBay Motors)
2. Tickets
3. Clothing, Shoes & Accessories
4. Cell Phones & PDAs

Price Threshold: 50%
i.e. The BIN option will be available on an item till the current bid reaches or exceeds 50% of the BIN price.

Note: For reserve price auctions, the Buy it Now option will continue to be available till the reserve price is met. The price threshold is only applicable once the reserve has been met or exceeded.

Default Bin

The only way to keep your your BIN is to run a BIN only auction. Sorry.

Thank you to everyone for sharing the info you have on this subject. It just bugs me because I have a listing saved on myebay that I was watching that has now ended and it had no reserve price, the bids were up to $720 after starting at .99 cent, and the BIN option was still available. The item was won at the BIN price of $1245. How could this be?
