I googled the FBI with my cities name and it gave me the local field office, which I called.

good, I would tell them that you do not want to be party to
re-cycling a counterfeit bag to a liquidator with potential for re-sale.

I have bought from liquidation.com before and it is an auction site for wholesalers, they have many sellers (I bought from Target before thru them) So my best bet is that PayPal became one of their sellers and it's adding all these returned items in a big lot to sell there. It is scary but I'm not surprised...

Wow thats crazy if ebay is reselling all the fake merchadise...

I have had to file a dispute before but not because the bag was fake it was simply misrepresented so I had to send it back...paypal told me to send the item back to the seller with a tracking number and once it was confirmed as sent then I got my money back...

I wonder if you will get your money back now? I sure hope that you do!

Same with me, PayPal asked me to send fake LV with my cost. I paid around $57.5 but after that, PayPal refunded me for $250 only It mean, I lost the rest $600 + $46 for auth letter + $57.5 EMS cost, horibble!!!

Paypal, nor Liquidity services, are NOT getting this purse back.
I am turning the purse over the the FBI with all of my information showing that they wanted me to return it to Liquidity Services.
I want the FBI to investigate. They need to find out where this stuff came from, and worst of all, that it would get back onto the street as a resale.
That's very wrong and very very illegal, and they need to pay for what they're doing to the public.
Ebay and Paypal have really really broken public trust.
YOU GO GIRL!!!! keep us posted, i hope it becomes a big thing !

Hi, dragonlady76, same thing happened to me, too. Paypal wanted my fake shoes but I refused to send them back. Here's my post What's the chance of me getting my money back?.

I was wondering what is the difference between me destroying them and paypal destroying them but turned out, they are criminals... that's why they insisted for so long.

I'm feeling so sick now after knowing their dirty business.

Thanks for reporting your case to FBI and hopefully everything gets sorted out soon, and paypal gets the punishment they deserve.

Dragonlady76: Did you consider contacting Harper's Bazaar? They have that whole campaign, Fakes Are Never in Style. It's all about educating consumers on the real cost of buying fakes. They definitely have the connections to get this picked up by national media. Here's the link: http://www.fakesareneverinfashion.com/

After I spoke to the FBI the first time, I called paypal and asked the rep to confirm the next steps, I then advised the rep that the address was for Liquidity Services and explained that I was NOT going to ship the fake Chanel at my expense so that they could resell it, the rep said that to "his knowledge, the address I was given in Texas is where Paypal destroys items"......yeah right

What a bunch of BS!

Time for ebay to get a major wake up call. I can't believe they would be so rotten!

Here is the FBI's site for reporting internet fraud:

http://www.ic3.gov/

If you have had the same issue, I recomend that you report it, ebay-paypal will not get punished until people start reporting them.

FYI- even if you just got ripped off by some greedy ebay seller, you can still report it, paypal does not have the legal rights or funds that the gov does and they do investigate.
