If I am sending someone money is there a way to lessen the fees they pay upon recieving it?
If I already have the money in my paypal account will they be charged less than if they have to take it out of my bank account? -(I have the type of account on paypal where they don't do that 'echeck' thing - they just pay the seller and then take it out of my bank account.) THANKS =) |

I think that if the sender chooses the category of "Services" then there are reduced or no fees.

You can send as "personal" funds which will not be charged any fees. But you're limited to 5 personal transfers every year I believe.

In paypal uk, not sure if you have the same option, you can opt to pay the fees yourself ( as the sender )

The only way you can send them with no fees is if you're sending funded pp from a paypal balance to a personal account. If she has a merchant account, she will be charged fees however you send it.
If you select personal payment, and "payment owed" as the way you're sending, it will give you the option of paying the fees yourself- I have had a few people request that I send money that way on other forums. HTH! |

What PP protection does a seller and buyer have, respectively, if the buyer marks the payment as a "gift"? I know PP does not take out fees from the transaction from the buyer's amount, but what if there's a problem and a refund needs to occur?
