Through my experience I'd say buying from overseas is fine, its just a matter of time, sometimes it can take up to one and a half months to receive the item.

As for the custom form and declaration, most of the time it really doesn't matter much, because the customs officers know that most people lie about it anyway. Seriously!

It makes very little difference in Canadian customs whether or not the item is marked as gift. I never ask for it to be marked but, I guess because sellers get asked many times for that to be done, most of the items I receive have the gift box checked off. The customs folk must be having quite a chuckle at all the "gift-giving" that is going on out there.

Wouldn't want to deal with the "gift" situation.

The bag you are looking doesn't go on sale?
Are there any US sellers have one?
Personally I would buy the bag at boutique for peace on my mind. Because I would know it's brand new and authentic and no hassle for return.
Sometimes international shipping get wacky and it takes many days to reach you. And if something goes wrong, you might have to pay return shipping which won't cheap....

I bought the bag! No, it never goes on sale. I bought a limited edition Balenciaga bag. I called all over the US with NM and Barney's but everywhere is unavailable in black, except for the Bal boutique. Sucks to pay full price + tax but I was able to select the one I want.

Congrats, I agree with others who say ask the seller send via their post system versus UPS or FedEx and ask them to state that the item is used or pre-owned. This has helped in the pas for me. Good Luck
