Did anyone read what I posted in Post #13? Obviously not.

The SELLER is scr#wed if the buyer sends the auction number to Carol.

She will WIN her dispute. The bag is a fake as explained in Post #13.

The OP knows the bag is fake.

Paypal doesn't just say "Oh, ok you have an email and a forum stating the bag is fake, here is your money back."

If only it worked that way.

Paypal can decide whether or not they need proof of non-authenticity. If they decide that they need proof that the bag is fake, then Carol's email is not a certificate of non-authenticity and it doesn't always suffice. It depends on the Paypal rep that is reviewing the case, their mood, the time of day, whether they burned their mouth on their coffee that morning, ect.

So, OP if your LV rep (LV Chicago, right?) will write on a piece of letterhead that your bag is fake for you then GREAT! It could help. If you don't have a specific SA ask for Samuer. He is great, down to earth, and my favorite SA to deal with.

Now, if you can't get an LV rep to do that then wait for PP to tell you whether or not you will need to obtain a "letter of non-authenticity". If they insist you do this it is costly (up to $100), but it will be what decides the case. Carol does this, I am not absolutely sure of the cost, but you can always email her to find out.

I suggest putting a link to your bag here Report This LV because members will report it and the auction will be removed (the reason we had you print and file it). This means that enough people saw that it was fake that ebay removed the listing. This helps with Paypal because its not just YOU saying it was fake, it was many. Usually when listings have been removed PP does not ask for a letter of non-auth from what I have seen.

Also, OP...if you haven't already escalated your report in Paypal to a claim I would do so. It speeds up the process since your seller refuses to cooperate.

Keep us posted.

Yes, ma'am, we all saw. Unfortunately, PP often goes require a third party authentication AND a letter of NON-AUTH as proof. Not always, but more often than not. Which was again the point in stating that OP can contact Caroldiva if PP requires a letter of non-auth. Sending the auction # to Carol will get an email response, but NOT a letter on Carol's letterhead, which PP often requires.

OP, if you have been sold a fake bag, you are a victim. Your reaction is absolutely justified and it is NOT buyers remorse. You have every right to file a claim and get your money back. Please don't give up.

I am very frustrated; I have passed an opportunity to get LV purse with receipt. And my husband won’t let me borrow the money that I could get from Paypal. How come it takes so long for paypal to settle my case? I hate waiting…

Try and be as patient as possible. Remember, if this wasn't an eBay transaction you would be stuck with a fake bag and out the $.

It takes time because there are SOOOO many people selling superfakes out there. I can't imagine what the case to rep ratio is.

Did you escalate it to a claim already?

Did you read my post above and post it in the "Report This Louis Vuitton"? If the listing gets removed it will speed up the process.

ayd29,

I'm sure you will get your money back. Did you file your claim and post the link in the thread for reporting as instructed above?

Just sit tight, and a suggestion to have the experts check out any EB auctions here BEFORE bidding........... or purchase at the LV boutique.

Also........

Since you left positive feedback before you had this bag checked, it might be a good idea to FOLLOW UP TO FEEDBACK LEFT.

Something like "Just found out bag is counterfeitl BEWARE OF THIS SELLER"

That way you will warn others in case she is selling more counterfeits.

I would want to make follow-up on my feedback, but the listing was taken-out by Ebay. Is it still still possible for a follow-up feedback?

I wasn't aware the listing was removed when I posted that suggestion.

I'm not sure, is the original feedback still there?

Go ahead and try.

Let us know, I'm curious if this can be done!

IF you didn't do this you should do it. This is what the time course it will take to resolve your claim hinges on.

Thanks AmourCouture. I guess you are right for me to be patient; I will try to be patient. I know that there so many fakes in Ebay and as well as other sites, but it is so hard to tell. Sometimes their picture can be so deceitful. I am starting to feel like I am annoying the seller for asking if it's real or fake. I have too from now on, I am not just going to approve what there feedback say's.

Yes, I already put a claim for the LV purse and I am just waiting for PP to respond. I also posted the Fake LV purse in the “Report This Louis Vuitton” at the purseforum. As of now, just basically sitting and waiting for the PP decision. Thanks
