Hopefully it was a simple mistake and the seller will rectify. What does the customs forms she filed says?

Request her contact information immediately from "My eBay". That should give you her phone and address details. You may be better giving her a ring.

Good luck

Haha. :) The first thing I did was to check if she had sold a pair of vans recently and the answer I think is no. I also did not find an invoice inside the box so I don't think the shoes were merchandise. More likely a present since it's (or it was) the right time of the year. She's emailed back (FINALLY!) and said that she's in hospital right now and someone else mailed the package on her behalf but that's really weird because she told me that she had mailed the package herself and she couldn't give me the tracking number at first because she had left the tracking number at work. So which is which? Did she send it to me herself or did someone else do it for her? And she doesn't know where the bag is right now because there are so many rooms and closets in her house. WTF? Who was doing the selling then? I don't know about other people but when I'm selling something, I usually have it ready to be sent off. I know that she definitely had to have the bag out to have taken pictures of it.

Hi,
I had almost the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. The seller just mixed up the packages and someone else got my real expensive item and I got their item which was worth about 1/10 of what mine was!

I just emailed the seller and we got it all straightened out. The other customer sent me my pkg and I sent her hers and it was all ok. This happened with a really good seller with a great reputation.

So in my case it was just a mistake. I hope you get yours straightened out. I just wanted to tell you a good story and hope that yours turns out like that. Good luck, Janice

I have to admit, I've done this before. Mixed up items and sent them to the wrong person. And actually, I've sent something that I didn't even have listed instead of the right item. So I don't think you should jump the gun and assume she sent the wrong item on purpose, since I know it's happened to me before as a seller. Of course, I was sending clothing, so I sent a skirt instead of a pair of capri pants accidentally. But I've got a lot of long term customers who are great repeat buyers and they understood the mix-up.
But that being said, eBay is a scary place these days, and I hope this seller didn't scam you on purpose and it was an oversight on her part. Keep us posted and good luck!!

oh boy...sounds like she's making up all these lies now....i hope it works out for you. i've sold many things on eBay and i understand it may get confusing for someone who sells a lot but heck if i sold something for $2k i WOULD NOT make the stupid mistake of sending a pair of vans, KWIM? i mean come on, a pair of $25 vans and a 2K purse..?!?! that is just not an acceptable mistake in my book...and well if that's what she's claiming now though she told you something else the first time, ask her which story is which and make her accountable for the different versions she's told you. for your protection, i highly recommend calling your cc asap. good luck and please keep us posted.

can you ask her "then who has the money?"
anyways, tell her that you dont need the bag anymore since you waited so long and uncomfortable w this transaction.

Ought oh
I like to give the seller the benefit of the doubt as I mentioned in an earlier post.

HOWEVER, now she is in "the hospital"? Hmmmmmmmm Emailing while at the hospital.

It's just that I've heard this somewhere before. On "holiday", "in hospital", "going through a divorce", you want to believe them and are patient, but before you know it....... the time is up to file a complaint.

monaco-babe aka paparazzi-girl aka moda-da aka fashionanyone ......
oops sorry, didn't mean to name names haha

I also think you should file a chargeback , get it going asap, and then purchase your bag from a reputable boutique or seller.

Did you make this purchase off eBay? Also, can you pm me the seller's name?

Wow, that is so scary! I am sorry for all that you are having to go through! I hope your CC can reverse the charges. I looked under completed listings and couldn't find a SgH violet work. I looked on eBay and Purse forum for that member dancinginmymanolos and couldn't find them listed in either. Hmmmm.. I hope she didn't just disappear. Maybe she is in a mental hospital?

That sounds really fishy. To me it honestly sounds like she's trying to scam you. If she wrote the address on the package all wrong, it could be because she was hoping it wouldn't get to you or would be delayed or possibly returned (she'd still have a receipt saying that she sent the package in case you opened a dispute/complained) and she could try to claim that she did sent you the correct item and that you're the one trying to scam her. So I'm hoping you've kept the box and all the packaging material that it came in. The fact that she first went on holiday, then she's in the hospital and she sent the bag herself then someone else sent it for her doesn't speak to her advantage. Someone tried to scam me once, and she claimed she went on holiday, then she got sick, then there was something else, yadda yadda Then when I finally got my money back (after threatening to report her to her local police, seeing as she clearly had no intention of ever sending the bag) she left ME negative feedback saying her KIDS had been sick (gee, I thought you were the one who'd been sick ? ) So anyway, I'd report her to you CC asap, and tell her that unless the situation is resolved immediately you will contact her local police and report her for fraud. I hope it really is just an honest mix up and that you will receive your bag, but too many people have been scammed this way.

That's really fishy, I emailed her 2 months ago regarding one of her bals and she replied really quick, she said she had email on her blackberry. And I know I've seen her post on here ALOT but for the life of me I can't figure out what her user name is. (I'll keep tapping my brain like I've been trying to do all day.) I wish search was up because it would be easy to find her tPF id because she posted in "authenticate this Balenciaga" alot.

Here's to hoping it's an honest mistake :

At this point I would ask for a refund. Did you win it for alot less than it was worth?

i think the seller is stupid if she want to scam you because you are going to win any way by filing dispute with paypal or your CC company but you should do it ASAP. I think the seller's story (in the hospital) is fishy.. If i were you i will file dispute ASAP. Good luck to you!
