Default My very first neg and I cant return the favor!

I'm so angry this morning, I had a buyer who bought an item from me and then as soon as she got it she filed a SNAD dispute claiming it was nothing like what was pictured. Which was totally ridiculous! She said in her dispute that the item showed a lot of wear, the item was in perfect condition! But I just decided to save myself the trouble since I'd loose anyway and agreed to a full refund upon return. Got the notice that I had a package at the post office, knew that it was the return since I wasnt expecting anything else so I immediately sent the refund before I even picked up the package. Well when I did go get the package I realized, SHE HADNT EVEN OPENED IT!! We have this bright green tape here at the office that has our company logo on it which is what I used when I boxed it up for her, the tape was still in tact, it had not benn cut or anything and she had just taped a piece of paper over my postage label with my address and hers as the return.

Ok so she had a big whopping case of buyers remorse, thats fine I got my item back so I can always resell. But then this morning I log in and she left me a NEGATIVE! Saying "item not as described"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am furious! Where does she get off! It's not like I put up a fight and made her prove her claim or anything, and she never even opened it!!!!!! I cant leave a negative so I dont know what to do! (I know what I'd like to do but her return address is half a country away and I'm not properly dressed to deliver an A$$ kicking lol)

Oh my! Did you take a photo of the box not even being opened? I would really contact eBay about this, explain the situation, and show them the box, and see if you can get the negative removed. It sounds like this may have been someone who disliked you, (maybe a prior transaction), or something like that.

Wow, next time, do not refund before opening the box. For all you know, she culd have sent you a bunch of rocks weighing the same as your merchandise. You were very lucky (considering the situation) that it wasn't rocks, or even merchandise which she damaged out of spite.

I would contact eBay and check your BBL. She may be someone you blocked previously and is now purchasing under another address. I think she bought it just to leave you a neg...if she truly had buyers remorse and didn't even open it, I doubt she would have left you nasty fb.

If she did buy the item just to leave you a neg, here is a link to a help page I found in eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/report_problem.html . This is a new "Report a Problem" page which includes malicious buying, feedback extortion, etc. I have it bookmarked because I KNOW that I will need it at some point. I hope this helps. What a lowlife buyer!

I do not understand these new eBay feedback rules. It's like sellers have no rights anymore.

I havent sold a lot of stuff (less than 20 things) so I dont think its a case of her being an upset past bidder and just doing it to leave me a neg, I looked at her feedback and she has some old negs for doing the same kinda thing to other buyers so I think she is just one of those jerks that is benefiting from this new eBay environment where she knows that I cant leave a neg for her.

ITA. It is a ridiculous supposed "improvement", but I just think it opens the door for scammers and extortionists.

if they wanted to leave a negative. i think they would have just left one.. not went to the trouble to have it shipped to them.. having to pay for shipping back to you. and risk not gettin there money back on paypal.

its strange. did they perhaps open the box from the bottom?

Report it, take pics of the unopened item.

I hope you can get the feedback removed.

On a side note I read some where that a seller sued a buyer for leaving un warranted negative feedback and won.

What if we leave a positive feedback with a positive message something like

"Thanks so much for the (-) feedback and for never opening the package, I don't have to pack it again!!!"

I have an NPB and feel like leaving a positive feedback as the item relisted sell for more maybe

"Thanks for not paying I relisted the item and got a better deal!"

I mean we are really giving positive feedback and positive comments!

That would seriously annoy me. I would write clearly what happened in her feedback. And contact eBay..

^^ that's totally f*cked up & so are e-bay's new rules ...it's totally unfair to sellers & i can't even begin to understand it...as for me, i'd leave her extremely negative "positive or neutral" feedback (as the poster above suggests)...and in the future, i wouldn't agree to any refunds unless the buyer agrees to leave me positive feedback 1st...that's what i did with my last dead-beat buyer who had "buyer's remorse" & wanted to return my BNWT juicy couture suit for a refund
