Default my turn! NPS. what else is new?

So I stumbled across a pair of SFAMK crops I had been looking for for a while since almost all of them listed in my size had a BIN of $79.99 or higher. Well the auction I came across had poor keywording so I knew they wouldn't go for much. I bid, and won them at the opening bid of $29.99. About 24 hours later the seller sends me a message.

To Whome It May Concern:
I'm sorry to say but I can't sell the Jeans anymore. They are worth 80 to me now. These were $160 brand new and only worn twice. I didn't know the value until my girl told me. I hope you understand! I apologize for the inconvenience!

I responded back with,

Um, this is a binding contract. It's not my fault you had no idea what they were worth. Are you really considering on damaging your seller reputation? One negative from me will knock your percentage down to about 75%.

So yeah, it's been almost 72 hours and no refund or response. I'm hoping he sucked it up and is sending me the jeans. If not I guess I'll file the NPS and neg him like theres no tomorrow. The funny thing is, they are only worth $80 if they are NWT, and these are used. Hell, I'm selling a pair of jeans right now that I paid $198 for and they have 24 hours left and are at $12.50. That's the game you play when you sell.

People are crazy, maybe he should have talked to his "girl" before listing them at that price. I would file a dispute with paypal if he does not respond to your emails.

File a dispute with paypal now as he's decided not to sell. The nerve of him! Who hasn't taken a loss as a seller and just sucked it up and so should he.

i would have told him the jeans are not worth 80 because it's been worn twice. Gosh i don't know why sellers do that.

there have been plenty of times i have sold something at a loss but i don't think twice about it. i get paid and i just ship.

I hope he ships and if he doesn't give him a big fat NEG

That seller have some nerves, remember to file NPS with eBay.

I sold things for far less than what I paid for them before and I just suck it up and ship them, it is not the buyer's fault that I didn't get the price I wanted.

its definitely not worth 80 bucks. he admitted to you that it was worn twice and if he had it listed as NWT, then thats an obvious lie. even consignment shops that buy clothes would not give him 80 bucks for the jeans.

plus, he didnt even refund you! seriously, wth. goodness.

I keep watching to see if he's going to relist without refunding me. Still no communication from him.

I hope he has put them in the mail and shipped them to you!

Maybe you should get his contact info and call him on the phone.

I'm going to ride out the 8 days for him to send them before I file a non-receipt. I'm not too worried about not getting my money back because it's $39 and there was up to $200 buyer protection. I know I'll eventually get it back. I just really want the jeans.
