Oh, I didn't realize you were filing INR. Is it eBay dispute? If so I would call ebay and explain the situation before they close your case. (Yes, they might be going to close the INR case when they see the tracking shows that the item has been delivered) Just don't close the case, you might be able to change it to SNAD over the phone.

They never filled in tracking number, when asked about it, got no response. Missing item, no response. Filed INR, no response. I did INR because that's what was suggested when I asked which one to file. Hope all ends in my favor, now I'm a bit worried. I just looked to see if seller filled in tracking after I filed. Could it be a problem?

Technically it should be SNAD. Because the item you've received was different from what was described in the listing. If the seller doesn't respond within the specific time frame, she'll lose the case. Or she might be going to issue the partial refund... But I still think it's better to call eBay to make sure they are aware of the reason of claim.

I just spoke with a cs rep at ebay's resolution center to switch my original INR to SNAD so I'll have to wait seven days from today. When I explained to her that I do not want to return the box I received but prefer a reimbursement for the missing item, she said they cannot do that. If I escalate I will have to return the entire box and get a full refund. I do not want to pay shipping for something I will not have. She did put a note for future CS reps that buyer (me) does not want to escalate. Instead, ebay will give me a credit in the amount of missing item (I gave them info on that). But what it means is that the seller will NOT have it on their record BUT the cs rep did report seller for not responding to my message about missing item. I still can leave FB which obviously will be a big fat negative. It annoys me that the seller will still have all the money I paid and no record that s/he did anything wrong!

On that note, the seller had several of these exact kits and not one of them has left fb for seller, so I don't know if they are also having the same issue or if they are just buyers who don't leave fb. Also, the seller has not left fb for any of the buyers of the batch of kits either. Seems like s/he gives fb only upon receiving a positive from buyers.

This is such a tiring process, I hope I never have to go through it again.

Don't get why your seller just doesn't send you the missing item... really

silly on her part... she really has earned negative feedback for how she

is handling this, IMO...and the fact that several other kits were sold makes

you wonder if other buyers are having the same problem you are...and may

that is why no one is leaving feedback

Finally closed the SNAD case for missing item! NEED FB SUGGESTION!
To give a better idea of what transpired...

BIN and paid immediately.
Seller listing stated "mail within 3 days", but actually mailed on 6th day.
Did not respond when I requested tracking #.
Upon receiving the box I found that an item was missing.
I sent message to inform seller of missing item, no response.
Sent another message that I still had not received missing item, no reponse.
Sent third and final message that I still had not received item and if s/he did not respond I would file SNAD.
Filed SNAD, seller never responded. Closed it today.

I told CS that I prefer to keep what I received, plus I didn't want to pay for return postage for what I already received. CS is giving me an ebay courtesy coupon to cover the cost of my missing item. This means seller does not get the strike against him/her since I choose not to escalate.

Obvious negative for FB. Since I've never left a negative in all the years I've bought and sold on ebay, I want to do this right so I'm asking for suggestions. Since I can only use 80 letters, I need a concise comment that sort of tells about the issue in a proper way.

You can "ding" the seller on stars for communication and shipping time, so you don't need to use up your words doing that (someone correct me if I have this wrong). You can also ding them for "item as described" as well in stars. As to the rest...will ponder how to put that into 80 characters.

You will want to have in there: item missing, SNAD buyer's favor, non-communicative.

I don't usually support negative feedback, but for this case, I have to say the seller really earned it.
I think you are not supposed to mention any claim or dispute in your feedback. So be careful.
Then you can also ding the seller's star ratings with no mercy (especially for communication).

I would ding the seller's stars for sure.. and as for the feedback something

like: non-communicative seller SNAD item missing

Yeah, don't mention the claim in feedback or they will have a chance to get it removed.

Something like " order incomplete, no communication, no resolution offered by seller"
