Not a picture OF ME just a picture of a bag that I bought and posted pictures of in early 2008, here on TPF. So this seller stole the pictures from here and used them in their listing. Can I report it? Is there anything I can do?

you can definately report it, if you can prove it they will take it down. If it's a photobucket pic you can just change it to something really weird.

Ooo, I didn't think of the photobucket thing! It's too late though, the listing is ending right now. I'm not really mad because I know there's a ton of dishonest, stupid people in the world but it's kind of creepy to see a pic of one of my old purses on my kitchen table in someone else's ebay listing. I almost bid on the stupid thing just to see what would come in the mail. I know it's not the bag in the picture because I already own the bag in the picture! LOL!

I can't take credit for the photobucket thing, I got that from a post someone else sent to someone with a similar situation, but I'll never forget it.

I actually had this happen to me! the seller stole my pictures from my auction and my listing as well! however, when i went to report it...i had to provide a link to my auction (which I do not have since it's been about 6 months since the bag has been listed). I do not know if there is any other way to report???

Someone did this to me. They linked it to my photobucket site and I replaced it with something naughty. Needless to say, it was removed within a few hours.

I almost bid on that bag! Thank goodness I didn't! This is really awful that people are stealing photos you put up in 2008.

Always watermark your photos!! You can use Paint or Photoshop for it. I can't stress this enough, if you watermark your pictures well, then sellers won't steal your pictures. It's pretty important. Since these thieves always lurk here just to steal our gorgeous pictures. =(

You can use other peoples pictures unless you specifically state in your settings that you will not allow it. Did you do this?
