Just came back from the post office

after mailing 6 items that ended last night, and of course another one paid while I was gone......happens every batch. Do you make a special trip or wait until a couple more pay and go in two days?

My post office is less than 5 minutes in car, so I either make a new trip whenever I have to go out or just handle it to my post man. (It is also part of their duties to collect mail and packages) If you know and trust your post man you should save the trip and give it to him/her. Just make sure they have delivery confirmationa and also sometimes the officer have the scanners with them.

depends on the value of the item. If it's just a tiny item of low value, I'd wait, but if it's a bag or shoes or something the recipient is surely eagerly awaiting, I make the extra trip

I use the USPS carrier pick up option in my town. The same thing just happened to me today. I sold two bags last night, one paid and the other one hadn't as of late last night. Packed both up and scheduled a carrier pick up for today. When I got home from work this afternoon the other buyer paid, so I just set the 2nd package out with the first one and now they'll both get mailed today.

I usually try and ship within 24 hours, so if I had received payment on the 2nd bag AFTER my mailman came, I would probably not make a special trip. That carrier pick up is great though IMO!

I need to get some ink for my printer!!!! lol
I will go in the morning and hopefully a couple more will pay by then. I send priority and always try to get them quickly. But every time I get back from my Post Office (15 min one way) and of course longer lines as the day goes by, someone else pays. No complaints, at least they are bidding and paying and looks like good buyers. I really need to get my printer working again!

i used to ship every tuesdays and fridays...but ever since fedex put up a branch near my home i just ship the items the next day

but i get what ur saying...its so annoying when you send the items and you come home and find out that one buyer paid...but at least they paid heheh

Sometimes I have to go the Post office every day. I might have 5 auctions end and the buyers pay on all different days. Fortunately, it's on my way to and from work anyway.

I pick the children up from school at 3.15, so if i receive payment by 2pm i post same day. It does get me bored if I get back and more payments have come in for next day post. Especially at christmas when we queue for 40 minutes behind a mountain fo christmas cards...aaagh

I live out in the sticks..... I am on a rural route and don't recieve mail here, nor can I get it picked up. I sold 29 items this week 17 paid so far. I state in my auctions that I ship twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays and by by at least noon the day you want it to ship. All of my items end by 7pm on Sunday so they have plenty of time to make payment for Monday shipping. I don't make any extra effort to ship between those days as I have pictures to take, shopping(4hr drive one way), measuring, and descriptions to take care of for all my new items. If I shipped everytime someone paid me I would never get my items listed!

Lucky for you but I don't qualify for this, USPS says I need to meet their minimum monthly sales or they won't do it.

Me too, I have to go collect my dd's at 3pm so I tell my winners to pay by 2:30PM est and I will ship that same day! I love getting bags out asap, part good customer service and part, I can't bare to part with them sometimes, so out out out, this way I don't have second thoughts, lol!

I schedule USPS pickup - saves the running around and when you print your shipping at home there is not a charge for delivery confirmation and the other extra services/shipping is cheaper.
