Default its me again with another ebay question lol
Ok so as some of you may know i have started selling some bits n peices on ebay, now i just had a lady contact me about a bag im selling and asked what post/zip code im in because she wants to know if i will accept cash on pick up. she has great feedback BUT if she pays cash i have NNNNNNNOOOOO protection if she later gets funny lol

i understand if she doesnt want to pay postage but can i ask her to pay via paypal and AFTER her payment is clear she can come over and collect her bag?????

ALSO has anyone ever used local pickup? if so do they come to your house or can you tell them to be at a shopping centre or other public place?

If she pays cash SHE has no protection and no come-back. Lucky you

You can accept cash on pickup. You would need to meet in a public place and take someone with you. Buyer is the one at risk if she pays cash, not the seller. If you do PP and she then picks it up, she can say she never received it. There have been several threads on this lately. Maybe do a search?

You definitely do NOT want to take PayPal for a pickup. You would have zero protection because you couldn't prove delivery.

I have met with buyers on many occasions to personally hand over the item. Take cash only, have them sign a receipt and you have no fees.

Cash is the BEST payment method. PP becomes irrelevant. Meet at a public place convenient to both of you. Good luck!

The only thing you risk is that she could always say she does not want it. Make sure she will agree to a mutual.

My friend ( I know that "friend" is starting to sound suspect on here, LOL) sold a Rolex and insisted on meeting her cash buyer in her bank with a large male friend. Which she immediately then deposited the cash in her bank account! Everyone was happy. Good luck and keep us posted.
