argh the buyer has contacted me again today BEGGING for me to lift the restrictions but alas I cannot as the auction already has bids on it and is in the last 24 hours now!!!

Did she ever say that the restriction was for? Any way you look at it, it's probably best that you don't sell to this person -- she sure sounds like trouble. I mean "a few strikes from unpaid items"???If that is the case, very bad track record if you ask me.

You did the right thing. I had a exact same situation lately. I changed my policy and let her bid, and she won. It took her over 10 days to pay, and she filed a charge back due to size not fitting. It was a pair of not-so-expensive jeans, but it sure was not a very good experience to me. I am going to raise my buyer requirements and won't let this kind of things happen to me again.
