OH GOSH.. GOSH.... ----Violet SGH came but turned out to be pair of Vans *NOW Pretty*Bubbles !!! I just got through reading a TON of threads about that Scammer that is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!! I know being a long time ebay seller and buyer I too have ran across my fair share of scammers. Just lately also I had a girl send me a wallet LV that was sooo badly beaten up ,it was a limited edition cherry one that she had stolen photos of someone else somewhere off the net as I did not see one like it listed on ebay, it arrived in HORRIFIC condition .The one in photos was in MINT condition so I paid rightly so for it.She lied and lied over and over . She admitted to stealing photos but seen no harm in doing so. ???? ok??? I have learned sooo many things from personal bad experiences, and from that ,it has also made me a excellent seller. As I know how it felt to not have the item shipped right away or something not disclosed ect,but sadly some people just do not care. They just want the fast dollar and do not look at what can-will happen from that.I personally do NOT lie, cheat or steal at all never will as I fully believe what goes around comes around but I know some- the bad few- have no conscience at all.It is BS that happened and this girl used tPF as her thing to show she was a good seller, just very ignorant!!!

^^^it's awful how many scammers are out there and even worse when they join tPF and worse yet - when they are active here to earn trust then - POOF! - scam people who trusted them because of their tPF "membership" or activity.

*Anyone* can sign up and claim membership. That's why I never give any additional trust or credence to someone who says they are a PF member in their auctions unless I know them well from here.

I've never asked for a discount on eBay, nor have I ever offered one.

I know that is just PLAIN SICK!! How anyone can do that and obviously she kept doing it over and over again WTF?? did she think no one would catch her?I agree with you 100% even though someone says they are a TPF memebr, I still make sure it is authentic and check their feedback as you never know.I seen one member who always claims active member major posts and evidentally she is having issues with telling all the issues wrong with her items. She has some bad feedback and now a new one, it was a pos. but saying she did not disclose a pretty bad thing wrong with the item .So just never know. I had a so called best friend for 6 1/2 years that ended over money she owed me and that was that. She stopped talking with me over money??? I do not know how anyone can do that and live with themselves,it is just wrong

I've never heard of that and frankly I get a little weary when I see someone state in their auction they are TPF member, not that I have anything against TPF (after all I'm here duh) but if you need to try and pad your auction by earning trust in telling me that I'm not so sure I want to buy from you.

Yes, I too had not remembered ever seeing anyone do a discount for tpf members either.Well actually even if someone says they are a tPF member or mypoupette or anything else I still totally check them out. As I have seen some -both members with not so good track records. I mean you may be selling authentic items but if you are not telling me something is wrong with it ,huge stain, smelly odor ,take FOREVER to ship ect , I will for sure not go with them either.Exactly that a bad seller can still hide behind a title, thanks for your help and advice, I deeply appreciate it

You can check past feedback by going to www.toolhaus.org. Every picture tells a story, as they say...

I think is a bit presumptuous to assume one should get a discount for being a member here

And there was a certain someone with 3 posts the other day who says in her auctions she's a 'trusted TPF member' LOL

BUt - in the case of the discount question - maybe it was a friend of her on TPF who asked the question - ya know - to be kind a silly I'm pretty tight with a few people on here I could see asking them that question KWIM? But that would only be your TPF BFF's lol

Oh EXCELLENT thank you for that link, yes very true even the pos will tell you if something is going on. I know every single seller myself included has gotten some bad feedback,as certian people you cannot fix the problem with ,or they just post neg neutral with out contact. So I also take that into the picture. The longer you sell granted the more problems you may come across but if a seller is not willing to work with the buyer that is my main thing.I hate a seller who if their is a problem does not respond or if they do- do not want to resolve.Myself personally have purchased MANY items that were not as described, however if they were still ok & still usabel in my standards, I let it lay as I do not think every one can go over every item with a fine tooth comb it is the major things I do not like..Huge stain on my bag, wallet broke, wallet photoed and described as MINT badly beaten and they stole photos ect.

Yes agreed, I too do not think a discount should be applied as their are sooo many members. And yes that certainly could have been the case --the members knew each other??Yes for sure if it was someone I knew well from here I too would absolutely give them a special deal but not any random tom off the street. I mean heck you could sign up here just to get discounts Actually I think their is nothing wrong with a seller posting she ia a tPF member at all. As long as you still check out each seller as usual, I have worked with many tPF memebrs while buying as I felt they possibly had some of the same values as me..authentic only ect.Plus 2 actually showed me how to FINALLY get on here and get going, so I like to see tPF members posts but trust me their are some I would NEVER deal with looking at their feedback

Thank you all for your tips and help and advice, I deeply appreciate it
