Both stories have loopholes in them.

This beenie person, who claims that he/she has got nothing to do with the seller or this transaction, certainly seems very hard-pressed to 'expose' LVGODIVA.

LVgodiva, any pictures of the package you received? Any return address? What is the postage/stamps on it?

eBay just ask to fax the personal details then they will reinstate.

eBay message below:

We're sorry to tell you that your eBay account was suspended because recent account activity. We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay community.

You can appeal this suspension. If, once we review your appeal, we're confident that this activity doesn't put the community at risk, we'll be happy to reinstate your account. For information about how to appeal this suspension, please go to:

lvgodiva, you don't owe *WEENIE or anyone else an explanation of why your sisters account was suspended. It does makes sense that a couple of very large purchases like that would put up a red flag. Credit card companys do this all the time. When they see unusual activity with large purchases, they will flag the account and sometimes stop activity until they clarify the activity with the acount holder. Everyone is pointing fingers here but I think the USPS should be considered. A friend of mine just sold and shipped an item and the box was tampered with. The box arrived with 2 washcloths in it. The USPS is investigating. I had the same thing happen. I shipped 2 pair of boots to a buyer and the box arrived altered, re-taped and one pair missing. lvgodiva, verify the shipping label with the seller and see how it was made out or generated. Maybe someone at the post office switched packages, re-addressed an envelop, and sent it on its way.

Below what I paid:

1 $1.700,00 USD $1.700,00 USD

Shipping & Handling via USPS Priority Mail (includes any seller handling fees): $21,55 USD
Shipping Insurance (required): $17,90 USD
Seller Discounts (-) or Charges (+): (seller discounts, services, etc.) $8,06 USD

Total: $1.747,51 USD

It has insurance for almost $18 ( not $2 like I thought ).

pzold, yes, I was thinking of the exact same thing. The package could have been swapped!

May you won't mind to assist me how to verify the shipping label? Just do normal check?

I think eBay-related postal fraud is on its rise because people are becoming increasingly aware that they can get away with it and let someone else clean the mess. I see this becoming a growing problem and adding to the many risks already involve when buying and selling on ebay.

My thinking was this. If the seller uses labels generated by PayPal and the one on your package is hand writen that might give some information. Also Spendalot had good suggestions too. Was there a return address, postage, was it metered etc. ? See what you can find out from the seller and compare the labels and postage on the package you received.

hotpicks, calm down. If you did not send the envelopes instead of the bag, could you co-operate with LVgodiva on this and entertain the possibility that the package might have been swapped by the postal guys?

LET'S STOP POINTING FINGERS AND LOOK AT THE FACTS!
