PP, I'm really sorry to hear this but totally understand. You will be missed. Maybe, after a while, you'll come back and "not help eBay" but help those people that don't have your experience and expertise.

I had an account a couple of years ago and somehow it went unnoticed that I had a 3 cent balance from my sellers dues and they shut me down!!!!! I noticed eBay has been very strict lately, but how are all the scammers still getting away with it?!?!

After a careful review of your account and history with us, we have
determined that your current selling limits will remain unchanged.
Please contact us after 90 days, and we will review your account again.

I certainly understand your anger regarding their recent policies, and I am sorry this happened to you. It seems like you got a ridiculously confusing canned response (which is usual from them). However, I take the above statement to mean that your current 30 day restriction will remain unchanged. Not that you now have a 90 day restriction. The bit about the 90 days is just an ill-advised and confusing attempt by them to stop you from contacting them about your 30 day restriction. They really should have worded the email differently to avoid confusion. I'm so glad I don't sell the high end bags. I hope you will reconsider your involvement with the authentication of bags.

hogwash !!!!!!!
somewhere somebody is putting the press on eBay.. All these changes must be part of that lawsuit or due to that lawsuit..
while alot of you good sellers and buyers have good intentions, I am pretty sure the big Conglomerates are pretty pissed as well.
Take for instance the people who go and buy bags that will be hard to finds or exclusives and then sell them for THOUSANDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars over retail, on eBay why- JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN AND ARE GREEDY and they have the money at the time to do it..
Examples- The Red Jumbo Flap with Bijoux chain- there were 2 brand new with tags bags and a few used bags that were on sale on eBay and the BNWT went for almost $5k- if you were Chanel wouldnt you be pissed- that one- a seller is getting this much for the bag on a re-sale, 2. ebay made what a couple hundred dollars of the sale-- when they sold the bag for what 1995- or 2195.00 whatever price you were lucky to get it at...
Then theres is this Ashley -Olsen Chanel bag that is demanding top dollar and not even a current season bag... Chanel loses money- because that 3,4 or 5K could have went to the purchase of one of their newer season bags....granted its not going to hurt their bottom dollar over all- but how do we know for sure how much they are really losing- we dont- we can only assume...
The LV watercolor bags, etc etc....
I hate eBay as well as have been suspended for not paying them 53.0 which I refuse to pay-
They shut down 2 of my auctions which had several bids and several watchers-= I had buyers who were for certain going to buy- but eBay snatched the listing- to this day I still dont know- some crap about trademark... Anyway I relisted the items and contacted a few of the other bidders and they were not interested anymore- so neeedless to say- these bags were never sold on ebay and i have these fees which I dont think are fair- and they should at least consume half- 53.00 is nothing- its just the principal of the matter to me. People are weary of buying your stuff if it gets pulled for one reason or nother and they get an email from ebay giving them bogus reasons...
I loved your letter by the way- to hell with eBay-
Its no good for anyone now... These scammers are getting ridiculous as well..

I'm in the same boat. Even though I got my selling restrictions lifted I've noticed that there has been a HUGE fee increase from both Paypal and eBay and of course don't forget the IRS!

PP, I am sorry for your trouble. It sucks to hear of stories when an honest person is given restrictions and then automated emails in return. It is a nightmare.

*bay is Dead, people who are worth buying from are leaving, the place is a ghost town. They deserve everything they have coming to them.

I got a restriction notice for selling some things, was warned and then suspended for it even though I didnt re-list the items I was warned for. ????? Dumbass**
I asked for my account to be closed 2 weeks ago, so hopefully they close it.

I am with you PP, I will never use *bay again for buying or selling. I am out!!

Ugh... I've avoided eBay much of the past year or so. The last time I bought anything was a physics study guide for my cousin, who didn't have an account.

I don't blame you one bit! e-bay has gone way downhill and the scammers have ruined it for honest buyers/sellers.. it's just so frustrating

I sort of feel that things, even overpriced red Chanel bags, should be able to get what the market will bear. That is how it goes with anything collectible. There is no telling what becomes desirable. An out of season Chanel bag is fair game for becoming collectible. Some of the older designer labels are of better quality than the same versions new season goods.

Let's face it, most "designer" goods are "desirable" because of the hype, advertising, and difficult to obtain factor. It is not so much about good design, and quality anymore. There are exceptions and look at the prices of Hermes, etc. Costume Jewelry by any label is almost all junk, in my opinion, and one could buy gold, silver and platinum designer jewelry for the same money. Same goes for all these "charms" that sell for hundreds of dollars. But to each his own.

But back to eBay. They do need to immediately hire some mature, smart customer service people. They need a strong quality control of fakes and the right people in charge of this. I am all for some more restrictions on the front end area of signing up for eBay and Paypal accounts. It seems anyone can sign up and that they must not be checking credit.

Believe you me, it crossed my mind.....

I just want to when I look at the Hermes and Prada "Authenticate This" threads and see the that eBay DOES deem worthy to allow to be listed.

Isn't it frustrating?! The same thing happened to me a few months back ... I've been a member for 10 years, 100% FB, powerseller and all. It means nothing to them!! I haven't sold since.

for PP - LOVE your listing

Great auction! Wonder how long it will take the evil doers to take it down. In the meantime, I am placing my bid!
