Default I'm Being Censored On Ebay
Didnt know they could do this, but I'm seeing it with my own eyes.... minutes after firing back another angry response regarding my listing removal (Fendi bag with receipt and authenticated), I went on to post on one of their forums and each time I would hit submit, it would disappear in the discussion! Including a copy of what I wrote to ebay!

What????

Are you talking about an actual listing, or something in the eBay forum? I'm confused.

I am so sorry. Ebay is really screwing things up. Lots of us are in the same boat. What they are doing is so stupid! They are going to lose so many wonderful sellers. Only the crappy scammer will be left.

Never in a million years did I expect to receive this kind of treatment. Please know that you are not alone in your frustration. I HATE EBAY right now! Seriously HATE it!!!

They have a number of rules regarding what you can and can't say (as tpf does as well and as other forums also do, I assume). I've gotten chastised a number of times in the ebay discussion board, largely for forgetting that you can't inquire about a specifically named seller selling authentic or not and can't post links to an active auction (that you can do so here makes those threads easier to follow). You also can't refer on the ebay board to deleted posts and I guess that was the problem perhaps in your case. I tried to find a list of rules at one point but couldn't. I don't know if there's a specific list or not. Maybe someone else knows if there is and if so, how to find it?

~Onegirl, I had a listing pulled (such an insult) and I'm mad as hell about it (also 30 day restricted) and I was grousing about it on an ebay forum, specifically, my back and forth emails from Trust and Safety, and that is what they keep removing. Which is different from when you type in a word or phrase that's not allowed....it wont let you post. These are posting and then disappearing.

But thanks everyone for your support, I would feel much worse to think I was the only one going through this.

I am trying to keep this all in perspective, for awhile I was getting so that this was taking over my life, I was that mad about it!

Same boat as you, I was selling an authentic LV miroir speedy WITH ORIGIONAL RECEIPT!, I had bids up to 1800 3 days in.... and it got pulled!!!! I was so angry, not even for the monetary inconvenience but for the fact that it makes us look so bad to the buyers when our listings just get pulled...I really feel like it will tarnish my reputation for selling authenticated LV bags....so sad

I feel your pain. I got suspended for something stupid and was not only treated like a criminal by eBay, but totally embarrassed at the fact that I probably have previous buyers wondering WTF happened to my account!

And yet they are not getting strict enough with the actual scammers. I just looked at the Chanel listings and found four fakes on the first page of new listings alone!

Hi bellamoda,I am in the exact same situation as you with Tiffany&Co Bracelet with original receipt, except they removed it AFTER the listing had ended. The buyer had of course paid me and i had sent out bracelet with tracking. Now i am worried the buyer will think she has purchased a fake from me and open a dispute with Paypal.I am horrified at all this.I too feel Ebay has made me feel like a criminal,to the point i am no longer going to sell on Ebay.
Yet i have done absolutely nothing wrong!

Oh wow. Ebay is seriously delusional. WTF is going on up there at eBay HQ?? OMG. If they're going to pull this crap (i.e. pull listings, 30 day BS rule, feedback changes, etc.) then they better expect to take the heat.

And that surprises me because it seems like the Nazi-Chanel-police are the worst!!!!

I listed an authentic Chanel brooch several years ago that I purchased directly from the now defunct I-Magnin in SF and they pulled it saying it wasn't authentic. Yeah, whatever!!! I had the original box which was clearly used and authentic, and they pulled it!!!

I ended up relisting it a month later and it sold.

I just read an article a few weeks ago how Tiffany & Co. "claims" that 70% of the T&Co. listings on eBay are FAKE!!! I imagine with T&Co. it's even worse. I'm glad I don't own anything by them that I want to sell. My last vase by them broke last year and I never replaced it.

You know, it NEVER occurred to me before that listings pulled might be erroneous, I just assumed that if an item was pulled, for sure it was counterfeit! Now I know better.

The timing is so bad it makes me think possibly it's not coincidental... I'm put on the 30 day restriction, and then they pull my listing and accuse me of selling a fake.... so of course now I cant have my restriction lifted!

Good for you! Chanel has always been my passion. I have always sold Chanel on eBay, since my very first sale. Whatever it is eBay does during the 10-hour period it takes for a Chanel listing to show up, they are most definitely NOT authenticating. Every time you look at Chanels on eBay, you will find fakes. Every single time. I have yet to look at the Chanel listings and fail to find counterfeits, everything from the dreaded black CC tag hanging from the bag to the COA numbers known to be favored by counterfeiters. What amazes me is that they are allowing 0 feedback sellers to list Chanels. With the smaller number of Chanel bags on eBay, some of these are going to sell. I was torn between reporting every fake bag I encounter in the Chanel listings, as I have always done, or doing nothing just because eBay will look more and more stupid as time goes on and they continue to allow the fakes to be posted. But my better nature prevailed. As much as I despise eBay at this moment, I cannot bear the thought of some unknown buyer saving her money for a lonnnng time only to buy a fake Chanel. The crazy thing is, we in tPF hate fakes more than eBay ever possibly could!
