Fleamistress, your posts are funny. Oz, what a hoot!

Read through some of the eBay forums about where everyone is moving to sell. Site "number seven" that keeps coming up is onlineauction.com. You can also use Google checkout in lieu of Paypal for a clean break.

Through the years eBay has ticked me off plenty, but not like they did in the last 30 days. They don't want small sellers or re-sellers in any volume; they want "out of the box" sellers of new items. Do a little Google search of alternatives to eBay selling sites and read the press. The new CEO has stated eBay's new direction and it doesn't include folks like us any more.

Also, fleamistress, you can state, "AS IS" all you want, you can even state, "ALL SALES ARE ABSOLUTELY FINAL," or anything along those lines that you want to. But....if the seller returns the bag to you then files a request via Paypal for a refund, Paypal will give them a refund and there isn't a darn thing you can do about it. This is how buyer protection works and if you try to dispute the refund they'll just freeze your account. Sellers are 100% at the mercy of buyers on eBay, buyers know this and are taking advantage of the situation. There is nothing you can do, short of shutting down your eBay business and closing your Paypal account (and disappearing in... a place like, say, Oz) that can make an eBay sale a final purchase.

I would rather sell my high end purses at consignment shops online and take less for them and be rid of the thieves on eBay.

I would be so scared of a chargeback coming 2 months after the sale and the hassle I would have to go thru.

Wow. It is even worse than I thought.

Yes, I can see how all the new terms would bring on the thieves. How terrible.

Hey, I'm looking for some Merrills. Where should I go? Cheap is the key word here.

WTH IS THAT???

I have a Paypal nightmare story that doesn't involve a sale--can I proceed here or should I start a new thread?

I'll get to the paypal nightmare story. Briefly a place has been milking my bank account--they're called Silvertag.

Meanwhile I'm limping along--whaddya think?

http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...d=fleamistress

Then I looked up a collectible I thought I'd list at a 99.00 min and saw one went for like 7 bucks. Lousy description. Guy didn't do his homework. Lucky collector. Either that or I'm mad or the economy is That Bad...

But let's not depress ourselves.
