Default I opened a NPB dispute and got this respose..

it's been 9 days since close of the auction.. I did a NPB dispute a couple of days ago and today I got this response.

Tornerò a casa il sei agosto, appena tornata dalle vacanze pagherò

Lol, I don't speak Italian so I go over to babelfish.yahoo.com to translate..

I will return to house six August, as soon as returned from the vacations I will pay

Do I have to wait for them? That's just ridiculous! I don't even want to deal with them anymore.

It's been nine days already and she's going on a vacation without telling you?! I wouldn't wait, most likely she won't pay at all. I actually just filed a NPB for a buyer who said that she is out of town and will pay when she gets back. I thought it was a load of crap since if she has internet connection and credit card with her (which for sure she does) she can immediately pay via Paypal, but I decided to wait and she never paid like she said she was going to. And she has 100% positive feedback, go figure. I think some buyers are taking advantage of the fact that they cannot receive negatives now so they do whatever they want.

Did the buyer respond through the dispute or did they email you directly?
If it was through the dispute you can end the dispute now without waiting and get your fvf's back and the buyer will get a strike, otherwise I believe it's 8 days from when you opened the NPB before you can close it.

You don't have to wait, but I had a similar situation with a buyer from Italy. It seems that a lot of people in Italy go on holiday around this time of the year and they are gone sometimes for 4-6 weeks. I'm not sure why that impacts that buyer paying though. Obviously she has access to a computer since she responded to your NPB dispute. My buyer paid right away and I shipped the item express mail. I started to get worried when I saw that her post office tried to deliver the item every day for almost 2 weeks without any success. I emailed her and she said that she was on holiday and would not be returning to the house for about a week or so. I didn't really understand why she bought the item if she knew she wouldn't be there to receive it. I was worried that the item would be returned to me. Fortunately her PO kept trying to deliver it and she eventually received it. I have to admit that I was about to have a coronary when I saw how many times they had tried to deliver with no success! It's really a judgment call if you want to wait. She may pay, but you shouldn't have to wait that long IMHO...

Now that they responded you can close the dispute with the option you don't wish to deal with them and still get a refund on the FVF and they get the strike :)

Acturally, if I am on vacation and just get chance to use computers, I will never try to enter paypal or my credit card account taking the risk of off-PC. That part makes sense to me, however, it is really up to seller whether give NPB strike or not.

Well wait, just so I am clear. Is this this the same one that paid and you refunded and then they didn't repay?

I don't understand why someone would do that, but at least they responded to the dispute. I don't see the harm in waiting, I would respond that you will wait until the 7th and if payment is not recieved you close the dispute and collect your fees. Remember, they have responded to the UPI they can leave negative fb.

I had same thing with Spanish buyer and she paid after 14 days.
I think people want to pay after the holiday "cause simply they don't want you to post the item in case it turns up at their door and nobody to sign for delivery.
I would wait and see what happens! At least your buyer emailed you as at the moment a lot of them just ignore the seller!
Why?! They know that we can not do anything as Ebayfeedback system simply sucks!

Lawsy Tara. Be done with her. How rude of her to go one vacation and just assume you'd wait so long for the payment...
