Default I don't understand Best Offer....

So I listed a bag with a BIN or best offer. I have an offer (just now, 24 hours before aution ends). My auction ends in 24 hours. Can I wait until the last minute to acept the offer to see if someone offers more? New at this best Offer thing...

Yep, you can wait until the very last minutes if you want and accept the best bid. eBay will then let the other people know that their offer was not accepted.

Well the offers do have a limited shelf life. Check in your offer sheet (or some such) and see when it expires. In other words you need to decide to accept or decline before it does expire. Surely there must be something on eBay's site that explains their best offer feature?? Oh the other thing is when you set up your auction you can go in and say if you want ebay to auto-decline lowball offers. Say you're selling for $1000; you can set it that auto-decline will reject anything less than, say $750.00 (or whatever you minimum is). Sometimes best offers can be ridiculously low and not worth fooling with. Good luck!

Offers usually expire after 48 hours, but since there is less than 24 hours, the offer is good until the auction ends, so you can wait to see what other offers you get.

you may also counter offer to your bidder if you don't like what they are asking you sell your item for

I just had a person make me an offer and while I was thinking it over (less than 24 hrs), she then emails me she didn't want to do the best offer anymore because she "has a purse very similar to this one." Duh.. I just let her offer expire. Buyers don't think anything is serious because they can no longer get negs from buyers.
eBay only lets you have three offers per auction I think and she used up one of mine. In the end the bag sold and it was OK, but that was just so irresponsible of her -- to officially make an offer and then ask to get out of it. I mean, put it on your watch list instead of actually making an offer if you are not sure, right!!!????

Only 3 offers allowed? I'm surprised at that one!

I agree that a lot of bidders have decided that they can do whatever they want. It is getting rather annoying.

Potential buyers can only make 3 offers on an item....the seller can get as many offers as are put out.

you can wait...but in my experience, buyers seem to move on to other items if their offers aren't accepted fairly quickly...

Buyers can withdraw their offers too. So if you sit on it and they find it cheaper somewhere else, they will withdraw their bid...
