Default I AM SOOO DONE WITH BUYING ON EBAY--ANOTHER Tpf member issue..
I see a seller on ebay who also is a tPF member. She has pretty low feedback but I feel ok since her item looks authentic and she is a member here--which I checked, has been a memebr a few years now . So first I ask for photos she sent me the exact same photos as in her description very blurry and fuzzy. But she said, this item looked brand new only used a few times.Ok fast forward I pay crack of dawn on Monday, she emails me saying she would post pos. feedback that night and also mail out the next day.So I do not hear back or get feedback.I email her Tuesday night just to follow up and get tracking so I can see when it will arrive. I hear nothing, next day same thing, and again no reply. Finally same thing Thursday ,she finally emails me Thursday saying she will email me that night with the info but my mailman had already tried to deliver it that day,but since I had no idea he was coming was not home.So I had to go today .So get there ALLLLLL exicted been wanting this a item for a very long time and NOT as decribed. It is a charm key holder that has 2 tiny pumpkin looking heads one is white and has stains on the bottom, and middle section then the other one has a stain on his face and also top too,and all stains, very noticable. So now once again I email her,and of course no reply....I am soo tired of sellers, not describing items they way they really are,not emailing back....I just feel like crying.I am soo upset right now.. I really feel like not bying on line ever again...

Oh I'm sorry that happened, I only recently started buying online, I'm wating on an international order and going through something similar. Did you pay with PP you should definately report the item and file a dispute.

*sigh* It's so annoying, but try not to let it upset you so much. It's frustrating, but not that big a deal in the big scope of things, KWIM? It happens...

Since she's been sooo communicative, if I were you, I wouldn't bother sending her another email. Open a dispute at the eBay or PP (if you paid with PP) Resolution Center, describe why the item is a SNAD in detail, and end of story. If she replies with some BS, respond and escalate it to a claim. If she doesn't reply, it's her problem.

That totally blows. I've found that I'm able to keep my sanity with eBay purchases (that are over $100) by only buying from sellers that I've "watched" selling on eBay consistently for multiple years in a row. I won't buy anything nice from an inexperienced seller.

Anything under $100 and I'm generally willing to gamble and see how a new seller does.

I would say file a SNAD and try to get your money back. It looks like it is now best to file with Ebay to get your $$ back more quickly?

Thanks soo much everyone.I know I just feel like aaugghh!!!?? I ask ? get photos and ..this.. The cheaper items I buy I let it go by as you know,we so have to pick our battels. But gosh when you pay hundreds of dollars.. why ?? It is truly soo upsetting at this point for me.But I do know what you mean karmen,it is only a thing in the grand sceme of things, but when you have wanted something sooo long and finally find it ,as this is a rare item even on ebay and then this happens sooo aggravating you know..Agreed mmmsc,I will be back on the phone with ebay today...luvtami,,agreed, I should have done that,I dont know why I thought her being a member here for a few years would make it ok?? And raqully..good luck to you too I hope all run smoothly

^ Believe me, I totally understand. It's aggravating and disappointing, just don't want to see you get sick over it--stress is a terrible thing--plus this seller has skrud you up enough. Open the dispute; get your money back, leave honest feedback, and let's hope you'll have better luck next time.

I can relate! but you should have no problems getting your money back. I filed through ebay instead of PP and they resolved really quickly. It used to be that if they were a member here, then I felt safe, not anymore, unfortunately. It's really sad but there are just no guarantees anymore. Get your $$ and move on!

Thanks redskater, I just got off the phone with ebay and I am heading out the door now to return it.Yes ebay is really great now with the process, but just a pain as I really really wanted this item..so very sad too.I just cannot justify paying over $400 for a item that looks like well nasty to say it nicely...I agree I too have read some of the horror stories just because they are pf members nto to totlaly trust, it still did not really sink in unitl now.I will walk really careful waters from here on out..ps LOVE your cats,we just got a baby kitty for my Abbie he is 5 months old and looks like yours the tiger.I will post a photo for you if you like when I come home? He is a cutie, out first cat,and he is great!! We actually call him Rosie as we first thought it was a girl and we still call him a girl now as my little one is positive he is a girl LOL.We also have a large dog kippy too ,she is great also =) Thanks for all your help girls I deeply appreciat all of you!!!
