Default Huge ebay moan

I need to get this off my chest. I'm selling an unused coral bays on eBay. We all know how much it costs. I've got loads of pics plus receipt plus good feedback. I have reduced it to 210 ....I have variously recieved requests for p and p to Hong Kong, finland which i have provided and now some one has asked for extra pictures. I am not going to do it and have said so. I am tempted to post a public message asking if buyers want me to pay them! Frankly I am going to withrdraw the thing and set fire to it...plus the receipt

^^ it's awful isn't it. Why don't you take it to a dress agency ? May get more than eBay . I am going to be selling a few bags soon , and I already feel a bit put off.....

Oh Alison, we've all been there, don't pick up your matches just yet!
After having a really good run a few weeks ago, things are slowing for me now, can only put it down to the credit crunch. Buyers are so fickle - how can something sell for a vastly inflated price one week and then you list a similar item with a lower price the following week and get no bids or stupid offers. It makes no sense. Hang on to it and relist again in a while.

I agree that you should hold onto it for a while then relist it. I don't think you would get more if you sold at Dress Agency because they would not put it up higher than RRP (obviously) but you would then only get about 40-50%.

I listed my LV Vavin on eBay and sold it but the winner didn't pay, I've now listed it again but to get any interest I've had to start the auction so low at £120. Last time only 1 person bid and I had 17 people watching it. It is so annoying.

I had people saying that I should be a My Poupette seller because they don't know its genuine otherwise but I told them that I am NOT a trader, its only my own collection. Most of the My Poupette people are traders.

To be honest as a buyer i hate auctions with a reserve on them. I'd rather bid on something that just starts at a reasonable value or go for a buy-it-now. If you know how much you want for the bag put it on as a buy-it-now and possibly best offers if you are willing to compromise. If it's not selling at the moment wait until the end of August. I'm sure everyone is spent up after the sales and the thought of the summer hols.

if you look at some of the e-bay threads it appears the 'my poupette' has been discredited anyway!!!

Thanks for the advice flyvetjo! I was initially planning on setting a buy it now or best offer price but was advised on the forum to set a low starting price with a reserve. I think its just bad luck with the financial situation right now.

If it doesnt sell now I think it is probably best to wait before relisting it. Wish I hadnt bought the phoebe first as Im really stuck for cash now.. I just thought the phebe would sell out so I had better grab it and the annie would sell anyday for a good price as it is a classic bag!

darn, I was just about to buy it and it's sold!!
Serves me right for sunbathing all day!!
Well done, I wonder whether it's a good time to sell at the moment, everything is selling to cheaply.
If my Paddy doesn't sell, I'm going to wait until later in the year.
I'm on the listing ban at mo, and can't list for 30 days anyway.

I have sold lots on eBay an i always start them off at 99p it will get more interest as people who thought they wouldn't go over the £120 will it just seems like a lot to start off with. It also cost you less to list!

I don't put reserve prices on either - partly because you have to pay for that.

I just start the auction at a price that I would be happy with receiving for the item should it only get 1 bid. I don't think there is any point in starting an auction for something like a Mulberry Roxanne at 99p with a reserve price of £250 - you might just as well start the auction at £250 and be done with it.

As a buyer, I prefer BIN's but that is mainly because I hate waiting for things!

The thing is I think £120 is a more than reasonable price to get an authentic LV for and to be honest, I would prefer to keep it than sell it for less that that.

My daughter (aged 9) has already tried to steal it from me so if it doesn't sell, I'll just keep it for her.
