^ No. It depends on the final closing (purchase) price. It's 8.75% up to $25.

on an auction i know will sell alot, i start the bidding at .99 cents. i know a lot of people don't want to take that risk, though. i've sold ugg boots and designer purses and received what i wanted with low beginning bids

That always happens to me! I sold a pair of vintage Frye boots the other day that I bought on Ebay years ago for maybe 15 bucks. I expected nothing for them and listed them at 99c and they sold for over $100! I couldn't believe it.

You definitely get more action with a 99c listing and I think it brings on a lot more bidders in the beginning that end up staying until the end, then if you listed it for what you wanted to get.

5 free listings the FVF is 8.75% or max of 20 bucks.

normal auction FVF is 8.75% upto $25 and then 3.5% above the $25.

If you list 5 items with no insertion fees within 30 days, your FVF will be 8.75% or $20 whichever is lower. I sold a gift card for $460 and my FVF is only $19.99. The 6th and so on items you list within 30 days, you will get the 8.75% FVF.

Not sure what your list price was but if you paid insertion fee (so not under the 5 free items) your FVF would have been $17.41.

I just sold something for $112.50 and the difference between listing it for free and paying insertion fee is $9.84 vs. $5.24.
