Default How is this possible? Bid on my item seconds after it was listed?

Hi all-

I just listed several items on eBay. I was on my 6th one and I use the same template for all of them. This means often I forget to change "handbag" to "wallet" inside the description. I usually go right back in and revise the item.

Well, last night I tried to revise an item for this reason and it wouldn't let me alter the description, but only add to it. I thought "this is strange" but low and behold I already had an offer.

How was a person able to make an offer when the item wasn't searchable yet?

When people do an advanced search on your (completed) listings, you new listings will also show up.

Or, if they have one of your unsold items on their watch list, it will immediately show up in their My eBay when you relist it.

Thanks!!! It was the first one since I hadn't listed this before. THANKS! I actually think I got an item like that before and just didn't realize it!

Maybe someone has you on their favourites list too, lucky you!

Okay, so if I am in your favorites then you can see my items earlier? This was just too strange because at the time if I clicked on my name and clicked "items for sale" this item wasn't showing!

It is just really threw me off, but it was also at 11pm so I was likely a little sleepy!
