Default How long to wait for refund from seller?

I just checked with USPS and the package arrived safely back to the seller yesterday around 1 PM. I messaged the seller and asked if she had received her package yet and when can she issue a return. However, I haven't heard back from her yet.

Well, obviously she should have refunded you right away. But give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she works full time, or she is currently out of town. Did you have a signature confirmation included?

I definitely wouldn't give her more than a few days, however, because if she doesn't respond and doesn't refund you, then I would file with PP. That is just uncalled for to wait.

This is a great question. I had the same situation. My returned package was delivered on Friday. I have sent messages to the seller and no response. I know they received it and signed for it. So I called Paypal about an hour ago and they told me to escalate.

I would give them a couple of days as well and then escalated if that is the case for you.

What do you mean by escalate? When I returned it, I didn't do a dispute or anything. The seller was just very cooperative with the defective item and agreed for a full refund. I still can't believe the seller hasn't responded to my message yet. I don't want to be annoying by sending another message.

Well even though the seller responded to my emails I decided to open a Paypal claim for records purposes. It wasn't my idea. Someone suggested it to me for tracking purposes. So I did and then the seller replied saying that as soon she received the items back she will refund. Five days have gone by after she received the item and she has not refunded. I called Paypal and they told me to escalate the claim. hope this helps

Your case seems different though but I would send a reminder even if you don't want to bother the seller.

I just filed a dispute today - same thing - she signed for it yesterday and she had said she would refund me. I escalated it to a claim because I do not want her taking her $$$ out of her acct if it is still in there.
