How Long Does It take to get a refund from paypal?

I recently bought a designer pair of jeans from eBay. Turns out it was a bad fake. Contacted the seller who eventually agreed to a refund. I get an email from paypal saying there is a refund pending for me but that was on the 17th of july. Five days later, I still don't see any refund. Do I need to worry? Can the seller "pretend" to refund and then change her mind afterwards? Maybe there is not enough funds in her account? What should I do???? Thanks!

If it's showing as pending I'm pretty sure that it's just paypal taking their time with the refund. It takes afew days for them to get the payment from the seller's bank account (if they didn't have funds in their paypal at the time) and then afew more days for it to go to the recipient.
It shouldn't take so long that's for sure but I think it's down to paypal and not anything the seller has done.

Don't worry it does take alittle while for the payment to go from the sellers account through to yours - this is quite normal. Give it as few more days and it should go through, x
