I've been reporting obvious fakes on eBay and they are not being pulled. Several auctions have ended and I really don't want to see people ripped off. Of course, the bags are listed as 100% authentic - yeah right.
My question is, is there anyway to contact a buyer after an auction has ended? Thanks! |

You would be able to see their IDs only after they leave feedback, if they leave feedback, and if they or the seller report you for transaction interference, your eBay account could be suspended. I can relate to how you feel; it's terrible to watch people get duped and not be able to do anything about it kuz all you can do is report it to eBay, which rarely (if ever) looks into it.

Yep, just keep looking for their feedback to go up and see if the buyer leaves feedback, then contact them- I was watching this one- it ended on the 14th-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT Now look at their feedback, luckily the buyer realized it was a fake and never got this bag since they left feedback a day later- the seller still thinks this is real- its unreal |

Thank you.
I've even gone on eBay live chat - all they can tell me is to report it to Trust & Safety. I told them that I had, REPEATEDLY. They checked and found my reports and told me that it will be acted on. I'm not holding my breath. One auction still has over an hour to go and the price is over $130.00! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT eBay Trust & Safety is an oxymoron, if you ask me! |

The auction just ended - it sold for $280.00!
I'm still reporting it, hopefully eBay will do the right thing and step in ... PLEASE report the auction. Maybe if they get reports from different people, they may take action. I just feel sorry for the person who is paying that kind of money for a crappy fake bag. |

Yes, after they leave fb you will have access to their id, and can send them a message.
I was dealing with this last week, and was SO furious about the fakes on ebay and not being able to help these people who are getting scammed... Then I thought about it seriously. It takes only a moment to google "authenticate LV" and find the red flags. It only costs $5 to have an item authenticated. It takes only mere common sense to not pay hundreds and thousands of dollars for a highly counterfeited item from an ebayer with 0 or 1 feedback, right? I bought for years on ebay before I found tpf and their free authenticators, but I was always careful- I read the "how to spot a fake" guides and had mypopuette authenticate my items. I don't know, I went from being REALLY angry and REALLY wanting to help those people, to thinking that at some point you need to help yourself, you know? A lot of people are still getting scammed by the buyers who look like they have lots of great feedback, or do bait and switches with stolen pictures- and that totally sucks. But people who are blindly shelling out hundreds of dollars for a LV bag with that awful fake dustbag and the yellow cards RIGHT in the pictures, when 2 minutes on google will tell you that those items are FAKE...well, they're just going to have to deal with it, you know? If you buy irresponsibly, you're going to get screwed. |

omg this thread was made for me lol, i have reported sososososo many fake LVs to ebay and none have been taken off, i saw fake sunnies sell for $80, fake bags sell for over $500 and hats for over $100 it makes me so mad and i feel so sorry for the buyers of these items. it makes me so mad that i cant do anything more, but at the same time i have to wonder what the people bidding are thinking. "oh i think ill get a louis bag for half the retai price and show it to everyone" "i know its not fake" "this is ebay they wouldnt let people sell fakes" and so on lol

I hate sellers like her who doesn't mention the authenticity and thinks she can get away from. In some cases, it's hard to figure out if bidders knew items were fake or not. Sad truth is that some people want to carry fakes if it's cheaper than retail prices. But still, I report illegal listings because I hate people who make money by selling counterfeits. |

I can't stand people who list their bag as authentic, and you can tell by a glance that it is a horrid fake. The amount that this bag sold for is sickening. I really wish that people would research the brand before they buy and have an idea of what the brand should look like. Some fakes are impossible to tell from the real thing unless you have it in your hands. But others, they are so bad that they hurt your eyes! |

In answer to OP's question about letting the buyer know they bought a fake, you can't interfere with the auction or ebay will suspend YOUR account. How crazy is that? Ebay doesn't seem to care about the fakes these days, they just want to collect their fees. Prime time for scammers, and bad news for buyers who are not VERY diligent in doing their homework. |

This is why I try to stay off *bay for LV unless I'm looking for something specific, it's just too frustrating to see people getting taken advantage of!
Bonanzle is AMAZING at taking down fakes, we even have a thread for it here - join the ranks! !

I don't know if this is a fake too, but it was sold by the same seller as a set with the previous listing and the buyer left a positive feedback? |

So basically every fake bag I see, I save it, and wait for the person to leave feedback, and then contact them and tell them they bought a fake- |
