I am paying with an e-check but I have funds in my paypal account. Most of the amount I am paying I have in my existing paypal balance. Only a small portion would be needed from my bank account right? Or does it bypass my paypal funds and attempt to take it all out of my bank account (because I dont have all of the amount needed in the bank account I have linked up to Paypal). Id have to deposit the funds on Monday if this is the case. I hope this isnt too confusing.

No, it should take out the amount that you have in your Paypal account, then take the rest from your bank or credit card however you choose. It'll give you the option on how you want to pay the remainder.

You're welcome!
And no, you do have to pay for an echeck with a bank account, but I meant it will give you the option to pay either by e-check, directly from your bank account or via a credit card when you pay the remainder, sorry I didn't clarify. :) |

Ok I paid it via echeck but they did NOT take my paypal funds. It has to be entirely from a bank account. (runs to the bank!) Just a head's up.

It takes a while (at least week) for an echeck to clear. That is, it comes immediately out of YOUR account but takes about a week to clear through the receiver's account. Also I hope if anything goes wrong with the transaction, you can get your money back from PP when paying with an echeck out of our bank account? Why did you have to pay with an echeck if I might ask? Thee are just so many scams on ebay these days, I hesitate to pay with any method that would not be covered in case of trouble. Of course the best method is PP with a credit card. That way if you are not covered by PP you can file a chargeback with your credit card.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if you DO send an echeck, make sure you have enough in the bank to cover the amount and do NOT count on your paypal balance to used to cover some of that portion. They left my balance in tact and took straight from my bank account. |

I just read on here about how sometimes they bounce and it takes weeks to clear.
