Default Have I been scammed? Super worried about a chargeback, please help

I knew it was too good to be true. I decided that I didn't want to keep a Gucci bag I had purchased, but out of love for my wonderful SA, I put it on eBay. It actually sold really, really well. I got a great price and instant payment--but from a buyer with only 4 feedback (all positives). I mailed the bag, she emailed and said she LOVED it. Great.

Skip to Monday, June 30--about 5 days later. She emails me to say that there is going to be a chargeback on the purchase. She had fraudulent charges on her credit card, cancelled it, but "forgot" to authorize my payment (apparently her paypal went to her cc).

She did email paypal to cancel the chargeback, I got an email from paypal verifying that. She also said she sent an affidavit to the cc company authorizing my payment. But, I haven't heard from her in a few days now. I am concerned because it seems very strange that she forgot to initially verify this charge. And, although I have emails confirming her receipt of the bag, I didn't require a signature (rookie mistake).

Any ideas or hope that I may still get my $$$?

you should be ok as long as you give paypal your tracking number. I would call paypal and give them that information.

Yes and while you are on the phone to paypal please ask them to verify that she has authorised your payment. Hope it all works out for you.

I found out that if you call paypal a little late at night your hold time will be shorter. Also, ask to speak to a supervisor if the rep give you the run around. Good luck!

^^Sorry this happened Leem. I am sure it will get sorted out, but ugh, going through this is so awful.

I don't know if this sounds like the same thing...
Last spring, I bought 2 designer bags within a couple of days of each other.
I used a card that I rarely use.
The credit card company authorized the first purchase but not the second one.
I got a notification from eLUXURY that my cc hadn't accepted the charge.
What the heck?
I knew I wasn't anywhere NEAR the limit on my card!!!!!!!!!
I called them and found out that they were holding the purchase until they heard from me, since I rarely use the card, and now suddenly 2 major purchases in one week. The concern was that someone else got my card and was using it!
So, I was kind of glad, but embarrassed, too.
But it sorted out fine in the end.
