Default Grrrr...I bought another dud on ebay. This bag is filthy :(

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=001

It is described as 'ultra clean' with 'no marks on the leather' and 'only used for 2 months'. It arrived filthy. There is food caked in the creases and inner pockets. There are several pen marks. The interior is worn to nothing in some spots. Canvas is faded. Dark marks from the buckle wear on the strap, and wear to the edges, and the hardware is scratched and faded. How does a seller get it so wrong? Can someone honestly believe that caked on food is 'clean'? I am so disgusted. I filed a paypal complaint already, but she has not responded. Now I know why she waited until the money cleared from her paypal account into her checking account before shipping the bag. Grrrrr.

Do you have pictures of the caked on food? All I see is lint. To be really honest, it doesn't look as worn to me as you describe? Maybe I just have a high tolerance for wear.

I wouldn't describe it as "ultra clean" but I don't think it necessarily looks "filthy" in the pics you provided.

I honestly don't think it looks as bad as you are describing. The marks on the handles are unavoidable as the buckles cause that. I also think the canvas looks fine. I do agree that the interior is not very clean though. Like the poster above me I also have a pretty high tolerance for wear.

This happens to me sometimes...I guess that the condition of a bag is really personal and everyone has different standards.

All I see is some lint and normal marks from the buckle. I don't see anything I would consider to be filth.

I personally do not think the bag looks filthy. There is wear on the handles and the inside doesn't look horrible at all. Maybe you and the seller can work it out! Good luck

Food? Now that's a new low. Make sure you take pictures of its condition when it arrived, and make sure they're good quality pics so you can dispute.

No offense, however, in the auction, the interior "does" look used. Like another poster said, the brass hardware will unavoidably make those marks on the vachetta, and the price you got is VERY good. The condition doesn't look "filthy" just used. Now, this is just my opinion and of course, everyone's opinion will be different.

Did you not contact the seller PRIOR to filing the claim with PayPal? I honestly don't feel this is a SNAD claim. True, it isn't MY opinion of "ultra clean", however, it is a USED bag and looks like something that a little Woolite (on the alacantra), Apple Guard (on the vachetta), and Lexol wipes (on the canvas) won't make look good as new.

If it is not as you expected contact the seller and explain. Hopefully you will agree something between you. Good luck.

I bought a supposively like new LV Tango but received a really old stinky piece of trash and when I tried to dispute with paypal, that is the exact words they said to me and favoured with the seller.

If you are going to describe a bag as 'ultraclean', geezzzz, vacuum the inside, turn it inside out and give it a good brushing!!! I agree with the OP, this is not as described. I would not ship a bag out like that!
Best of luck with your dispute.

Did you ask for a refund before you filed a paypal claim? I don't know if it's a SNAD claim - I would have said that you were disappointed with the condition of the bag and didn't feel that it was representative of how it was described. Depending on how she would respond would kind of set the tone on how to proceed IMO.

This is not an 'ultra clean' bag, especially if it also has several pen marks, a worn interior, wear to the edges, scratched and faded HW (although, you don't appear to show these faults, from what I can see?) and faded canvas.

Whether you got it for a good price, or not, is irrelevant, as you did not choose to bid on a bag in this condition and you had the legal right to know its true condition, before bidding.

You should win your SNAD claim as long as you make sure to include all information about the flaws and describe how the bag's actual condition differs from that in the description, before escalating.

It would also be a good idea to take good, clear, pics of all the faults you mention, but haven't yet shown here and also some more clear pics of the faded canvas, ASAP (if you haven't already); just in case Paypal ask to see them.

Please keep us posted!
