Default FYI: Message from eBAY about Reporting
Several members have received this message from ebay concerning current "technical difficulties" w/ web reporting.

Currently we are having some technical difficulties with a couple of reporting topics that you may use to report items. You may have noticed a decrease in the action taken on your reports due to this issue. The topics in question are:

Listing Violations > Counterfeits and copyright violations > Potential trademark infringement > Counterfeit handbags
Listing Violations > Counterfeits and copyright violations > Potential trademark infringement > Counterfeit clothing, shoes, sunglasses and accessories

While we work to resolve this issue we would like to request that you use the following topics instead when reporting counterfeit items:

Listing Violations > Counterfeits and copyright violations > Potential trademark infringement > Other replica or counterfeit items

Reporting under this topic will ensure that your reports will be reviewed and appropriate action will be taken.

Thank you for your cooperation and you assistance with increasing safety for the eBay Community!

Note that ebay does not say how LONG it may take to rectify these "technical difficulties". However....I suppose, perhaps we can also report via the suggested alternate method above, and see if it helps.

Just an FYI....

I just reported a bunch of fake bags. It wasn't easy, I kept getting page cannot be found. Persistence pays off - I finally received a copy of the report in my inbox. Now ... let's see if the bags are removed!

Thanks for posting this info, EM. Maybe this will help in more reports getting to the right people at Ebay.

I kept getting page not responding today. Kept hitting the BACK button, then tried again in a few. It did finally submit.

Not to be rude, but it was so bad that Stevie Wonder could have seen the flaws in it.

OMG... I'm sorry.

Two more bags were removed!!! : They weren't in the class of the 'Stevie' bag removed earlier - but they were a definite eyesore!

Gee, only about 8 more bags to go!!

I guess my luck ran out .... the rest of the bags are still in active auctions. One bag/wallet combo is so hideously fake (it is in the 'Stevie' category) that I actually emailed the seller. I asked for photos of the paper hang tag (this is a supposed Burberry product). I was trying to feel around to see if the seller knew anything about the brand and maybe the lightbulb would go on in their head 'hey....my bag doesn't have this and it should!' Well, my strategy didn't work - this is the reply that I received: I get these straight out new york from an aunt that is high end in a factory for processing and placing these purses in stores all over the world.

And ebay takes their time reviewing our reports of fake items???

Well, after that reply I got on live chat and the rep seemed intelligent. He took the auction number and is going to report it to the correct department. I also gave them the list of the other auctions that need to be pulled.

Let's see if anything is done!!
