The way she said, "suited for a child rather than a woman," makes it sound as though she's talking about clothing -- if you send her another message, make sure to mention the handbag in case she left feedback for the wrong item.

That kind of wording to describe a handbag is sort strange...

Again, thank you everyone for the support...
Last update for the situation

Last night I sent:
After considering the situation I want to offer to take back the item and refund the purchase price, including the shipping you originally paid, if you would pay the shipping to return it to me. Had I known that you were not happy with the bag we could have worked something out before you left feedback. Please let me know if this is a fair solution for you, thanks. Leo

She replied:
I'm sorry but the handbag had pet hair of some sort, on it and it was a lot, not just a hair or two. And there is a spot of dirt on the bag which is visible, not large -- but not tiny. And yes, I appreciated your response to my question about the measurements, but the bag seems more like it's suited for a little girl and should have been advertised as such. I have only given positive feedback in the past and I entered "neutral" for this transaction, not negative. The only reason I did not contact you first is because I felt it was useless to ask for a refund since I would have only received 99 cents and I would have had to pay for postage again. To be honest, I immediately placed the handbag in my goodwill bag for pickup later this month. I see that you have a 100% rating up until now and I understand how important that is to an EBAY seller. I don't think I can revise my rating but apparently, you can submit a form to ask for my revision. Look into this on your end.

So... I put in a request for feedback revision and sent her another message:
I appreciate you getting back to me. I did read over your feedback and the feedback you've left for others and it is apparant that you are a fair person. To be honest I was shocked that you weren't happy with it and I really wish you would've contacted me because I'm sure I could've done something to resolve the problem. I am truly sorry that you were not happy with the bag and want to refund you half of the full cost anyway with the hope that you will consider revising your feedback and possibly buying from me again. I should have disclosed that I am a pet owner, I just didn't realize my dog's hair had gotten on the purse since it was always kept in my closet. I didn't see the mark you mentioned but I believe you and I should've inspected the bag more carefully. Anyway, I hope whoever has the bag now likes it and again I'm sorry that this ended up being a less than ideal transaction. I've submitted a request for you to please consider revising your feedback to a positive instead of a neutral, though I'm not asking you to change your comments because I want you to honestly express how you felt about the purchase. Thanks, Leo

To my suprise she revised her feedback to say, "Seller is a very nice person to work with" and sent me one more message
Hi Leo,
It really wasn't necessary for you to refund half the price of the handbag. I revised my rating and was going to do so anyway because I felt bad about the situation. I know that my 100% rating means a lot to me. I would really think twice about buying from someone with a low rating. I hope you will be able to retain your 100%. My mistake was not contacting you first to let you know how I felt. I'm going to try to send your $6.50 back now through Paypal. But thanks though. All the best

So I sent her a thank you and told her she was welcome to buy from me again and that I would be more detailed in the future.
Happy ending! Yay!
For the record, I take back anything negative I said about her and now I see it was just a lack of communication that caused all of this. I'm really glad it worked out.

GOOD.. and if she now refunds you, "d send the refund/refund back to her anyway... as a HUGE gesture of appreciation. Sort of a splitting the difference for a misunderstanding. Ya'll could be sending this back and forth 4ever!!
You did good, Leo!
