Reminds me of my first neutral.

I sold a trial size beauty product with the word TRIAL SIZE written in 18 point bold font and the size in 3 places (title, description and picture), well lo and behold, when the buyer received it, she left me a neutral saying it "was not as expected". OMG what does she expect? A full sized product? I messaged her and politely asked why and she told me in my picture the tube looked a lot bigger. (I take a lot of time to take detailed pictures of my products.) I told her if she's not happy, please return it, I'll pay for return shipping as well but she said she's not going to return it. That really bothered me but I go over it. Too bad we don't have a button that reads "click here to block all the dumb buyers".

OP, please leave a follow-up under the neutral to tell your side of the story if things don't work out. Good luck!

OMG can't believe this - that is INSANE!!!
Surely she did it in error - please keep us posted OP
Buyers are just getting worse and worse out there, it is depressing that sellers have no means for recourse and all is left is for you to BEG them to remove unfair FB, it is ridiculous

After selling on Ebay for over 10 years , I have to say that no matter how good of a job you do , or how well you pack , or great the product is , you will get a neutral or a negative one time or another.

It always seems unfair, it always makes you feel bad, but hey do not let it ruin your day .

You can leave a reply to feedback by scrolling down to the bottom of the page,
actually I ll load a video so you can watch on you tube .

you can request a feedback revision , I always found that sugar helps , just call them and say sorry you didnt like your product blah blah , I am willing to take it back or whatever.

Then ask them if they could please revise their feedback while you are on the phone with them . Then show them how to do so . You will first have to request a feedback revision as I show in the video , hopefully

Cool heads usually prevail in these situations .

^ I'm not sure what the value is exactly, it is a canvas summer bag w/ leather trim & handles that I sold around Sept 14th. It's an older style so probably around $100, but still... Furla! lol
This is the same style bag

I was expecting more bidders so it's my own fault for not setting a reserve. Oh well!

Thank you everyone for the encouragement & advice, I appreciate it

I don't blame you for being pissed. I would be too. A neutral for a 99 cent deal? I would try once more with niceness. Hopefully you can get her to budge but if not, one neutral isn't going to make much of a dent in a good seller's reputation. You can add a reply to the comment to set the record straight. You could also leave a FB for her something like, "I'm sorry you did not like the 99 cent Furla". Not a false positive but gets the message across.

In a case like this she should have left a positive and still wrote what she thought as the comment.

Completely second everything shoemanshoe said.

I remember when I got my first neutral I let it overtake my life for a week and I thought it was the end of the world. Since that time, especially since sellers can't "retaliate", I've calmed down about neutrals and negatives and I expect even the most perfect seller to get them a few times a year (depending on how much they sell of course).

I don't want to reward her anymore after she's already gotten a steal of a deal.
I don't know if she's going to respond but I'm going to offer a return and in a few days if she still doesn't feel like talking, well... We'll see...
I do appreciate all the suggestions and I hope I can report back with good news.

Sorry about your neutral, lvbabydoll. Karma will come around!
Trust me, I DO understand exactly what you are saying and yes, you are correct! She deserves nothing, and she darn sure does not deserve a free bag.
My point was that $12 is not worth keeping a neutral feedback.

I believe this is just a REALLY bad buyer. She does not realize she has gotten such a incredible deal and still wants to complain..Truth of the matter she probably will not revise even if you do everything for her,and so if she does it will happen again.Even great sellers will get neutrals and negatives from this type of buyer. She probably was thinking she would wait til last minute to do this so you can do nothing. I am sorry this happend to you.I too received my first also over a 99 cent pair of jeans.Put in size and measurements I got a negative saying-- they do not fit???? No matter what some people are NEVER happy. Most buyers do not look down on a seller with 1 or even 2 issues, just do a follow up,and state your side of the story nicely..

OP, don't let the neutral get to you. You'll still have a good seller reputation, and most ebayers know there's always nightmare buyers out there. You could still try to have it revised, but I wouldn't do any butt-kissing. I'd follow up to the unfair feedback. Good luck, let us know what happens.

Hi Leo! I'm so sorry you got this Neutral, which sounds very unfair.
Let me know if I can help you in any way?

Honestly, it's like they don't even understand that what they're getting is a DEAL.

Anyway, leo, I really hope you'll be able to get this all sorted out, it's definitely unfair. I mean, a handbag for .99, what else do they want??

why not set a reserve price?
Please forgot it, somebody are just that fussy on ebay what we are unable to control.
Neutral won't pull the marks down, will it?
