LOL, I am a BAL girl, myself. But, you do need to continue your quest for your bag. You'll find it... just be way more cautious. Search the seller via google, and the PF search. Authenticate first. Check toolhaus, check goofbay. AND, check the LV forum for recommended sellers if an LV is what you are after. And check MALLERIES, many nice sellers there w/ LV. There are MANY nice ladies on the LV forum who will advise. And you can also ask about Ebay sellers here on the ebay forum.
You'll be fine. You've learned alot in a very short time!

Somehow I don't see myself on a cruise ship w/ these hunting dogs. We'd likely get tossed off in the middle of the ocean!

Not only that, I have a feeling DH's hunting buddies might have something to say if these dogs turned up in the field donned in LV accessories!

I need to give that some thought actually.... I owe him one.

OP: I'm so glad you caught on to what the seller was trying to do and did what you had to do to protect/defend yourself.

I just wanted to let you and the others know--for future reference/transactions--that most of the info (unfortunately not all, so we can still help you here) you need to handle these situations is provided by the eBay and PP websites, and I strongly recommend to anyone considering buying and/or selling on eBay to familiarize themselves with this info prior to making transactions. You will be more clear about what you're getting into and know what to do in these situations, which should significantly lower the stress level.

I also think it's a good idea to stick around and read about other transactions to find out a little bit more about what usually works, what doesn't work, how to improve your chances at successful transactions, how to avoid scammers, and what you can and can't control. You can learn sooo much from other people's experiences.

Before you buy from anyone, take a look at the seller's feedback on www.toolhaus.org or the goofbay website. I prefer toolhaus; it's quicker. Look at the feedback the seller has received as well as the feedback she/he's left for others. If there are any red flags, you can do further research into the items and other eBayers involved in these sales. Also google the seller's ID to see if there's any useful info out there. Don't buy from sellers who fail or neglect to describe and show their items in detail, unless the sellers provide additional info and photos upon request. Avoid anything vague or shady. Depending on how the seller responds, and all the other info you will have compiled by now, you can decide whether or not to do business with that person.

It sucks that we have to be so vigilant, that there are so many liars and thieves out there, and that even after taking every precaution, we could still end up being victimized by a scammer. It's terrible, but for now at least, it is what it is.

I wish you better luck next time!

Lesson learned on my part at least!

It just saddens me that this is the reality of things.
What's wrong with a good , fair, honest deal, you know? Anyone can make a mistake, but when its planned and intentional - how do these people justify it?

That i will never understand.

Hope so too.
Somewhere for this type of offense you have to carry your stuff around in a plastic bag, you don't even get to use your own fakes!

And - thanks for reporting everyone!!!

Thats a good thing - too bad I already paid!

How do i get my money back now that the listing has been removed?
Will ebay see to it that it happends, or will i have to trust the seller to do something actively for my refund, does anyone know?

You should be fine, should not make any difference. IMO, if anything, this helps your case and further proves her fraud.

I'm glad to see they removed all the completed listings. Now she has no past sales of the gucci indy!!

If you have any concerns, just call Ebay. You did ACCEPT her refund offer yesterday...??
