Hey Expat, sounds like my dogs but the cats are outside (strays). Everytime the dogs see them they go nuts!!

It's funny, but I have absolutely no desire to see my name anywhere public, LOL!

Quite the reverse, in fact!

This movie is not real, just made to look like it. But this kind of thing DOES happen.

Itsonly4me & TXGirlie - movie review time! How was Paranormal & Amelia?

AC - Hi! How is your handbag biz going?

EM - Hi! Any new scammer busts on the horizon?

Shinymagpie - thanks for the nice words on the clock. Belonged to my Swiss great great Uncle I think, although it looks French to me. My house decorating style is best described as eclectic. Regardless of origin, if I like it, it finds a home.

And apropos to nothing, do not ever buy Solaris cabernet sauvignon. The wine store clerk said it was a good low priced wine and I swear it smelled like gasoline when I opened it. Even with some H20 it still has a chemically bouquet and taste. yuk.
I liked Amelia...it was inspiring and sad too (we all know how it ends..)

Paranormal Activity was overrated. Not scary, but it did get more entertaining toward the end.

There are a handful of movies coming out this month that I do want to see! The 4th Kind, The Box, 2012, and New Moon.

^^ The actors were on Jay Leno tonight. They said the movie cost $15,000 to make and it made $80 million in sales.

It's the natural sequel to The Blair Witch Project? E.g., another cheapo "student"-type film made for very little $$ and then making a huge killing at the box office. I can't watch any kind of scary movies (still having nightmares about The Exorcist, and you know how long ago that was, LOL), so I will take you guys word for it --that it is scary. Not the kind of film I want to SEE, but surely wish I had MADE it!

Ok, I just have to ask this question. I see people buying used shoes & boots on *bay all the time. Is it just me, or does the thought of buying a used shoe that someone's possibly nasty, sweaty foot has been squeeging around in gross anyone else out or is it just me? Is there some sort of magic foot begone shoe spray that everyone knows about?

No. But I have bought them, stuck them in the sun for a day or so. And carefully cleaned them with the Meltonian. This way I have acquired lovely Armani shoes which fit beautifully and had almost no wear. That was back in the small kid days when I thought I would never have money again (still doubting this as my daughters get bigger).

I also bought some Roland Cartier Hologram Butterfly and Rose mules which are just crazy to look at. Those I dropped a siilcon liner into. They were never sold in Japan so it's fun to have something that I can't buy here. Plus my feet at 24.5cm are considered pretty big, so finding something nice in my size is hard.

When I was a kid I went into an Opportunity Shop on my way home from School. I walked into the house with a pair of unworn sky blue leather knee high stiletto boots which I acquired for $1.50. My mother choked and said "In your dreams kid". Her friend, who was visiting, practically broke her arm reaching for her purse and threw $25 at me saying "Mine! Mine! Mine!" It was pretty funny. She would not take no for an answer. No idea what the label was, but she must have known something about it. Perhaps this was the origin of my eBay career...

But hey... each to their own.

Shinymagpie - You were quite the little entrepreneur, a great return on your investment with the $1.50 boots! How are the puppies? Any new photo spreads?

Me the entrepreneur? . . . The person in the photographs wrote signs for a door at our house setting out hefty animal viewing charges to be paid to the signwriter. Parents subject to animal viewing levies too.

And why not a bunny to go with the dogs.... The garden shot was taken today. Dogs and rabbits have trashed our tiny garden, but we haven't done any landscaping since we moved in, so they can have fun with it. The animals have the garden on a time share arrangment. Rabbits out, dogs in and vice versa.

In the background is "bunny world" which is an evolving work in progress. Bunny world began recently when my other half had the joy of listening to the rabbits munching on the new bunk beds we got the kids when we moved... Momo (upright ears) and Binky were doing a bit of a courtship rhumba in the dirt. Digging holes and rolling around. Hard for dogs to look at.

The dogs have now taken to chewing on bits of pumpkin. They have one chunk each. They also steal spinach and hay from the rabbits and eat it.

OMG! Those pictures are beyond cute. Puppies and bunnies, always a crowd pleaser. Your daughter looks adorable too!

Isn't it amazing what puppies eat and survive without even a stomach rumble.
