This is a class action law suit waiting to happen against ebay. They have clear indication of whats been happening and that people are losing money, and they refuse to acknowledge it

The only way to deal with this as ebay does not seem to care is
1. You must have the real name and address of the person
2. You must have proof that a crime was committed. I.e. intent to commit fraud or to defraud a customer. Receipts, emails, recorded messages all suffice.

At that point any local and most probably national law agency can be contacted and thats it

I see everyone reporting all these listings. But what has actually been done? This forum seems to be running for months already. Many ppl have been scammed. How does this just continue? Has not one person contacted law enforcement? Is it because no one knows his name? I just don't get it

Also, how does a person get hold of so many ebay accounts with great ratings? I have read suggestions that an account is hacked, but where is the owner? If he/she has that many ratings, wouldn't he/she be very aware of whats going on with his account? I know im asking lots of questions im just a little bit pissed off right now, and im trying to work out what to do

We don't know exactly how/what this person is doing, but I can tell you that scammers buy and sell eBay accounts.

UPDATED SUMMARY

To summarize what others have posted.....

THE M.O. appears to be..... the seller lists bags for sale using auth photos stolen from other ebay selelrs. Shill bids his own auctions & posts pretend questions from buyers to create interest. Then cancels bids/BINS and/or cancels winning transactions saying his PP account is not working. Contacts interested bidders, buyers who made inquiries, etc, to conduct NON-ebay transactions, payment via Western Union. Targets inexperienced ebayers, as auctions state to "contact before bidding if you have less than 50 feedback".
**Auction also states "If you would like to discuss this item and you have MSN or SKYPE, please contact us with you're details in order to discuss your purchase instantly"

Never ships anything or ships empty envelope. May also ship a fake, but that has been a rare occurrence.

Victims have reported conversing w/ a young woman, others say male w/ british accent. Reported to be soliciting and buying existing eBay accounts on various forums and/or hacking high-feedback UK ebay accounts...So NOT LIMITED to these ID's.

Jane23... perhaps the updated summary will provide further info for you. If you have been scammed, there are various suggestions in the summary for reporting.
It is widely known that the scammer reads this thread, so any legal action taken by those scammed is not publicly discussed here, for reasons apparent. Nor is it publicly discussed HOW he accesses these accounts.

And to further answer you, NO, the persons who really own these accounts being used may not be aware that their account has been hacked, may not even be able to see the Chanel listings.

Holler if we can help further.
