TIME OUT
I sold a bag nearly 2 weeks ago, and buyer was extremely excited to win her 'hg' bag. There was constant and friendly communication, and concern on her end when tracking didn't show up immediately. It has been a week now that the bag has been sitting at the post office waiting for her to pick up. I know I always run down to the PO when I am waiting for a package. Does anyone else find this odd? It will be returned to me in a week. I emailed her and have not heard back. BTW, bag was over $2K. I can understand a day or two...but a week? Have any of you ever left a package this long?

Maybe the buyer is on vacation? Or something bad has happened to them? Maybe badly affected by these awful storms we've been having (in the States).

When a package comes for me and I miss it and it's held at the PO, I get down there as fast as I can to get it.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like buyers remorse. I hope I am wrong.

The thought crossed my mind...so if this is the case, what would happen? Tracking says notice was left, so what would be her argument w/ paypal-ebay?

This may not be the case....I know that I ship everything to my moms place in the states because I'm in Canada, sometimes it takes me a week or two to get over and pick up, even if it's a pair of loubies or a purse there.....

Sometimes personal stuff happens too and purses take a back seat. Hopefully she picks it up soon....

If the buyer does not pick it up, the PO will then send it back to you. I believe they hold it for 2 weeks.....someone correct me if I am mistaken.

The notice usually says 30 days but they really only hold it for 15. If she doesn't pick it up it will be returned to you, so you don't have to worry. It will come back and you can refund her or resend it if she ends up getting in touch with you.

Now a Mrs.
it takes awhile for the return to happen. I am dealing with a case where the person was out of town on a business trip and never went to the PO to pick it up.

I'd pull her contact info and work on a "script" to make a phone call to her, I think. Something along the lines of (hopefully you will get sent to voicemail) "Hi, this is xxxebayIDxxxxx, not sure if you got the notice that your bag is at the post office, waiting to be picked up, so thought I'd give you a call to let you know" or similar. Something like this would work if you actually spoke with her, too.

I agree with CowPrincess and hotshot, try giving her a ring. Like kemilia said maybe something happened to her (hopefully not!) and she can't pick it up and someone doesn't know she's getting a package.

The other concern is that she has picked it up and tracking is just not updating. Have you tried calling the post office there? With USPS tracking, I am more inclined to believe that the tracking is just slow to update, to be honest.

Just throwing this out there, she may not know that it is at the post office. The man who is supposed to deliver the packages to my house (1) never even bothers knocking and (2) reports that he leaves notes and doesn't. In reality he's just lazy! This recently happened to me twice in one week! I finally called them and gave them a piece of my mind. If I didn't stay on top of all the tracking I would have had no clue and it would still be sitting at the post office. Back to my point (just had to vent ) just because it says that a notice was left doesn't always mean it's true. Hopefully you'll be able to contact her. Good luck!

Good idea, call her PO and see if the package still there waiting. Sometimes tracking was not update at all, after noticed left (and buyer picked it up or has been re-delivered) even with insurance and signature confirmation.
