Paid immediately through Paypal and handbag was almost in mailmans hans when I got an email claiming a HOLD on the Paypal account and the money on hold and couldn't be touched.
I HAD given her a positive feedback so...too late to take that back....
After 5 days Paypal issued the money back to her with no explanation why the sale did not go through.
Within 24 hours she purchased AGAIN but this time I did not give feedback and held my breath and you guessed it.......Paypal HOLD....and Paypal will not give me the reason why it is held then given back to her but... dont send because others have SENT their merchandise to have the same thing happend it be toooooo late, item gone, payment returned to buyer.

If this is an innocent mistake, I am sorry..but now that I have heard it happened to someone else, I don't want this person taking advantage of any of us so better to be safe than sorry.
thanks for the heads up.

this is great! I always worry when I list something on ebay. I know it is a risk you take but usually I am low on cash and HAVE to sell something. Thanks everyone I know who to watch out for.

How long do you guys usually wait before initiating the Non-Paying Bidder process? This dude won an auction from me (not for a bag, but for a GC) on Monday, and it's Saturday now with 2 reminder emails that I'll ship the items as soon as payment clears--totally friendly reminders, too--and NOTHING. No response, no activity on PayPal...nada.

The NPB page says I have to wait 7 days, which would be Tuesday before I initiate, but should I give it like 10 days? 2 weeks?

What do you all think? I've never had this happen to me EVER on eBay, either as a Buyer OR a Seller (but I've only sold 3 things in my whole LIFE on eBay).

You're right, you do have to wait 7 days to file a non paying bidder claim. On the 6th day, I usually send out an email to them telling that if they haven't paid by such and such a date (the day that I can file) that I have no choice but to file a claim with ebay. Sometimes they will pay on the last day or after I've filed though I don't count on it. I think that if you've had no contact from a buyer in those 7 days, there's no point in waiting longer as it's unlikely you'll ever hear from them.

Yes. They have a week to pay even if you've said in your listing that you want payment sooner than that.

capdiddy - Didn't contact me for 2 weeks and had fake contact info, so I couldn't contact him. Later emailed and said it he wanted to cancel the order because it was too late.

prinny27 - Had her check her confirmed shipping address, she verified. I sent it to the EXACT address she provided. Post office refused to deliver because of an uncomplete address. She blamed me and demanded compensation, left me a neg. Turns out she neglected to include the business name (why the post office wouldn't deliver). Now she wants her money back and filed a fraudulent unreceived item with paypal.

BIN'd auction on 1-31 then sent email would pay on Feb 3 or Feb 9th. Then emailed back on Feb 5 - she was not paying and give her a strike. What is with these people. Why do they think strikes are ok???? She was a 0 feedback which again makes it difficult to let those with 0 continue to have chances at my auctions. Do not sell to this buyer... she will back out.
Planned on just giving strike and not to leave feedback...
This was my last communication:
I am sorry to hear that(not paying). I will be filing a NPB once seven days have passed in order to retrive the fees that I have already been charged based on the BIN you did. Please be advised that BIN and winning an auction are considered to be a binding contract in the eyes of both Ebay and the law. I wish you luck on your future puchases and would highly recommend you do not use the BIN on any item unless you are prepared to pay for it, other sellers might not be so understanding about your change of heart and will give you a strike and negative feedback. Thanks.

a2_gal Won my auction #270207937525 then after it ended emailed me and said sorry, please cancel my bid I cannot pay. Also said a strike might be good for her because she has been getting out of hand with her bidding lately. What the heck??? She did the same thing to my sister ON THE SAME NIGHT!! Item #330208325586. So rude!!

This bidder has been a non paying bidder on a Chanel transaction with another seller then placed a bid on my auction only to retract it for no good reason. I contacted her to ask her about her prior non paying status and she did not respond, she simply retracted her bid. Just beware.

Non-paying bidder - filed a NPB alert, she then paid by e-check. E-check bounced.

Ebay ID: jjlund77

I have left negative fb for this transaction.
