I have a question about that site (forgive me if this is a dumb question, I'm new to selling) ... I put in the username of someone who bought one of my items and it lists my bag as the only one this person has bought. But it lists the price in a pounds, not dollars. Does that mean anything?

^^ That's the default currency on Goofbay. If you look in the upper right corner you can change it to USD.

idk where else to post this.

buyer: jaycee1469

difficult buyer. she won the item the last minute (first time i saw her name on bidding history). it took her 3 days to pay the item. after i sent her an email reminder she x that she has 7 days to pay. ??? seriously for a $50 bag?!! i had bidders the same day that paid $200+ for a single bag and paid the minute they won the auction.

i emailed her again that i don't have the item anymore (i do but i have a gut feeling this buyer's trouble so i changed my mind) then opened a cancel transaction case on ebay. i didn't get any response from her. yesterday was the 7th day since i filed this case. i decided to teach her a lesson and won't refund her money 3 days later. xxx xxxx opened a new dispute and left me a negative feedback! the only one i have and called me a scam!

i checked her bidding history. she mostly buys this specific cheap brand i've never heard off and this was the first time she bought a different bag brand.

what i don't understand is if she badly wanted the item she'll pay for it right away. it took her 3 days to act on it. and after i reminded her she bullied. she doesn't even live at the address she gave me. her name is in care of someone else's. and now she wants her money right back and pronto!

i refunded her money today. hopefully that will shut her trap. i never even imagined nightmarish buyers can actually happen until it happened to me. lesson learned.

I think you were wrong in this case. Many buyers do pay for their items right away but lots don't.

Not everyone has the cash flow to do so. Granted $50 isn't a lot but even ebay allows buyers 7 days to pay before UID can be filed. So she was certainly within her rights to wait a few days. (She could have contacted you to let you know of her plans.)

As for "changing your mind" and not selling the item to her, again, you're wrong. You can't do that; it makes you NPS (non-performing seller). Once she won the item, you cannot refuse to sell to her unless and until an UID is filed and closed out.

It sounds as though she wants the item, so why should she agree to a mutual? It's NOT mutual!

Gosh, I'm grateful for paying buyers, whether they pay immediately, within the week or once an UID is opened. It's the buyers who never respond that I get frustrated with.

In this case, I believe you earned the neg by "teaching her a lesson." And you are further adding to your own problems by waiting another 3 days to refund her. If you aren't going to sell to her, refund immediately. Your hardheadedness has come back to haunt you.

beauty k addict,
I agree with beenburned. The buyer paid within the time limit and once she paid she would expect to receive the good. I don't understand why you refused to sell it to her after receiving the payment. I'm a seller too and many of my buyers take a few days to pay and I would never refuse to send the item once the payment is received. And I would certainly open a dispute if I don't get my refund when the seller refused to sell me the item that I paid for.

And I'm pretty sure a certain word you used on your post is not allowed here.

buyers have 7 days no matter the price, LOL!
I also disagree w/ you and I am primarily a Seller, not that it even matters.

This doesn't belong in this thread though, this is a NON-PAYING BIDDER thread.
Oh and don't post language like that on this website again please.

Beauty K addict, is your question directed at me?

If so, I am a seller. I have about 230 current listings and believe me when I say that I'm grateful for buyers who pay!

Since ebay implemented the "no negs for buyers" feedback policy, I've had more NPBs in the last 8 months than I'd had in the previous 8 years!

I also do some buying and I'm one of those buyers who pays immediately. I hate having "to do" lists to keep track of, but that's just me.

You should have counted yourself lucky that you had a buyer who paid, and since you chose not to follow through on your contractual agreement, you were a non-performing seller and rightfully earned the neg. Now give the buyer her refund! It's not your place to be teaching lessons!

Contact paypal right away and point out that you've refunded plus she filed a chargeback! Otherwise they'll take the money from you again.
