Default E-Bay:ANYONE BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT GETTING E-BAY TO LIFT THE NEW SELLING RESTRICTIONS
I'm so mad at e-Bay I could spit. Has anyone been successful at getting e-Bay to lift the new selling restrictions? I have requested 4 times to have my account reviewed and they will not even acknowledge my e-mails. They are suppose to respond with SOMETHING within 72 hours and it has been 4 days!

Yep! I emailed them earlier this week and they responded yesterday saying they had reviewed my account and lifted the restriction! FYI: You might have better luck with getting responses if you post this in the ebay subforum.

Just got a message that said they denied my request and must wait 90 more days to have them review my account again!!!!!!! ...I can't believe this because I am one of the e-Bayers that was given their direct phone number because of my account history.. GO FIGURE!!!! I guess it is becaue I "SPENT" $15,000 in the past year and didn't sell that much!!! Well I guess my spending is NOW over!!!!

Aww, that stinks!! Sorry to hear that, pzold. I wonder what they look at when they review accounts.

Really? eBay judges members by how much you spent and how much you sell? Was this what they told you?

Well they judge something by the buying activity because I was told that is how I was invited to receive their direct phone number....by my account buying activity. You would think if I were creditable enough to be given their direct phone number that I would be creditable enough to be able to sell more than one Coach item a month. I have a good selling history, just not Coach. They will not review again for 3 more months! I'll miss out on listing for the fall when buying is typically heavy.

This is all in reaction to this Louis Vuitton lawsuit - it just has to be. I just submitted my 'request' to have it lifted......I should have waited until I calmed down because I guess maybe I was little hostile.....WHATEVER.....

I've done a search on TPF for eBay's phone number because I know it's been listed before but it's seriously seriously buried......

Would anyone please care to list the phone number for all of us who would like to contact them?

It has happened to so many sellers, even people with years of history (not me I haven't had years of history] but yes, my husband got 'pinged' by eBay. It would be good to go for an update here. Try the listing 30 day rule ... no more listings. I started this a few days ago to see how many people were affected and if we could collaborate on successful problem solving together. I was concerned that if too many people splintered into individual brand types, we could easily lose sight of how many people this affects. Speaking for us, we just keep getting a generic message from eBay. There has been no mention so far of my partners trading limits. So still waiting on this.

When e-Bay invites a member to receive their phone number, they are very clear about not giving it out. In light of all the "new restrictions", heavy oversight, and the account reviews that are going on, I think a member posting e-Bays number would place themselves in jeopardy of being suspended.

Hmmnm....well I did find an 800 number on a google search which probably wouldn't help too much....
On the other hand, the secrecy thing is kinda funny as if it's like calling the White House.... yeah, if someone gets their number they'll suspend all 3 million of us for not following the rules....

Have any of you tried using Live Chat? That would get the same results as with phoning...

Well I have used Live help twice, and phoned them three times and I still get the same response....I must email them. So I have, 6 times, and still not one answer. Its been over 4 days and I have not received a response. Not even a curtesy email letting me know they have received mine. I am also a Powerseller and have over 900+ FB. Not that this really makes a difference.

There's a phone number listed under the "help" on the top-right hand part of the main ebay page....
Still laughing over the 'secret ebay number'.....
