Omigawd!

I must admit I did laugh, but... eww. Just... eww. You seem to have really bad luck with buying things for your lower half, OP -- or someone else's lower half, apparently!

Wish you luck with sorting this SNAD out! Threaten to send them to Paypal if they don't give you a refund!

Wow! Now this takes the cake. That is absolutely disgusting. You were really good at the way you handled it. I really can't believe how the seller is not taking any responsibility for this. Unbelievable! She had the nerve to say,"I will pay you the $1 for you to wash it in your washer." I hope you get all your money back. You need to give the "dirty" details in your feedback.

Disgusting. I wouldn't have even wanted the pants after seeing that. I would've filed a claim immediately and sent them back because even after they're cleaned, I would still have that image in my mind every time I wore them. Disgusting.

SNAD - I'll never see or hear that word again without retching - it's almost onomatopoeic - hmmm, that means "sounds like it sounds", what's the word for a word that sounds like it looks?

Oh. My. Gawd.
OP, I can't imagine the look on your face when you saw that.
So, the neighbor tries on pants with no panties, then the seller puts them in an envelope, mails them off and then fails to accept responsibility....
This one is a prize winner. Not.

My brain hurts now

I agree with everyone that the OP handled herself with much more grace that I would have!

OP- what did Paypal say about your stain? Do they want photos?

You're absolutely right to file a dispute and send them back for a full refund including shiping fee.

Why didn't this person/her neighbour/whoever wear knickers while trying them on/wearing them?

...and then, why didn't the seller inspect them before selling/shipping?

No shame!

When I was an eBay newbie, a seller sent me a vintage sweater dress that absolutely reeked of stale B.O. - the worst I've ever smelt and all over it, not just under the arms; as if someone had worn it for months and not had a bath, or washed it!

I just can't understand how you can do that, or this, to someone?

Well to further hijack this thread: I sold a pair of pre-loved Elizabeth Locke earrings a few years ago. The buyer wrote me to say how much she loved them, but said they were not "clean." So I wondered if maybe my pierced ear gunk was on them or fingerprints or something. I felt so bad, but she got them at a great price, so I replied how sorry I was (this was before I got my contacts, I really just did not see that they were "dirty"...) But I wanted to say "ever heard of jewelry cleaner or even Windex for gosh sakes"???? Now the buyer would probably just SNAD it and I would have to take the return (She didn't ask for one, believe me, because she knew she would never find those earrings again at that price). This is quite different from dirty, crotch-stained pants though

You ladies are funny!

PP emailed me this morning and said the seller responded and they will make a decision.
What could she have possible said?? She admitted her neighbor tried them on, and she didn't check them out before sending.
Case closed.

Anyway..my S.O said if she didn't take them back, he'd buy them from me..
He goes onto tell me there's a huge market for this sort of thing..

He's sick..lol

I wasn't angry when I saw the problem, I have two nieces,
after seeing what comes out of their little bottoms and mouths, nothing grosses me out.
And then there are my dogs..
My gross tolerance is high.

I was only mildly annoyed that she didn't check to see if they were clean.
And judging by the odor of air freshner, and after examining the rest of the pants, I'm sure these were not washed. And the 'stuff' was 'dusty',
not embedded into the material...
okay, just writing that kinda grossed me out..

Anyway, for the price I paid, she should've been more on top of things.
It's not like I got a good deal.
This to me was minor. Stuff happens and I was sure she would make
things right, like any normal person.

I got mad after reading her responses.
If I were the seller, I'd pay for the dry cleaning, gas, lunch, maybe a new pair of Louboutins..
I would be so embarrassed.
I would what to solve the problem immediately and sweep it under the rug.
Like passing gas in a crowded elevator , you want to get the hell away from these people as quickly as possible, and not bring further attention to yourself. Sheesh, I'd use the stairs to the top floor for the next month to avoid running into one them.

What is she thinking?

Now she has to discuss this with PP, maybe my CC co.,and then bad FB.
Photos maybe?
All over a $7, (maybe less) dry cleaning bill.

The reason I brought up the skidmark seller is because she acted
like most people would..embarrassed. I actually felt bad for her.
And she corrected the problem immediately.

I hope PP reads our Ebay correspondence.
Should I call them and ask them to?
I really hope they don't request photos.

Anyway, Ill keep you all posted.

I think high is an understatement...but IMO moreover you have the PATIENCE of a SAINT!

I would have blown a gasket the moment she said "neighbor"

I hope PP comes through for you and doen't ask you to provide DNA testing to show that the stain is in fact the sellers neighbor and not your own.
