Default buyer freaking out

I sold a coach bag on the bay last Tuesday which is the day I printed the shipping lable. In my auction I stated that I ship within 3 bus days of payment. I sent the purse out on Friday the 18th which was the third day and I have rscieved 4 emails from the buyer asking me when it would arrive I sent it via usps which was stupid on my part bc of no detailed tracking info but she also lives in Texas and when I called Usps they said everything is delayed and I notified her of this what should I do if she questions again???

i would tell her to give the PO about 7-14 business days.

you really can't blame her for freaking out though, eBay is becoming a place where anything can happen and i would be nervous too. just keep communicating with her and reassure her. HTH

I'd simply state that your auction terms say that you will ship within three days. Make sure to send her the confirmation number. It is completely out of your hands now. I'd just ignore her because she sounds pushy. She has all the information you have.

I agree. At this point everyone--sellers and buyers--are paranoid because of all the crap going on over at the bay. If you blow her off, she'll get even more suspicious and might even file a claim thinking she's getting scammed. I would be as communicative and graceful as possible.

You stated that you ship within 3 days, and that is what you did. There is nothing more you can really do at this point. Hopefully it will arrive soon and you can be done with this transaction.

she has sent me 3 emails in the past hour asking why it's 2 days past due?? Today is Wednesday, I had sent the package out friday. so count 3 business days, i figured it would be there either yesterday or today, and I have told her this, but she keeps questioning. And with the hurricanes in TX I know for a fact all delivery services have been delayed a couple of days down there.

Maybe it's my fault for buying the shipping label right away and not sending it till 3 days later, because thats what shes going by.

But theres nothing I can do, I know I sent the package, she'll just have to wait..... and honestly I think she should be worrying about the hurricane more than a package

Sounds like she's really anxious and doesn't know how to wait. I've had a couple of sellers print labels one day and not mail the bag until days later, and that can be frustrating. But I just wait. All you can do is what you already have done--tell her to relax and wait. You don't control the mail. I don't know where she lives in Texas, but that Cat 2 hurricane is only affecting the southwest corner. Not really a big deal.

I think when a buyer gets that notice that the PO has been notified ect... then you should let them know the day you will ship, so there is no confusion.

Is there a tracking number? It sounds like you have a nervous buyer. Was it insured?

Yes, USPS only says that it was electonically printed or w/e (which is why I'll never use usps anymore) but she chose to decline insurance

I put this in all of my auctions, maybe thats why she's freaking out???

"Shipping insurance is optional, if you choose not insure the item you will be completely responsible for any loss or damage on the shipping.

You should print the label when you will ship. The buyer might be freaking out because she thinks it went out when the label was printed. Even is you change the ship date to Fri date, she might not of read the paypal email thoroughly of when you will actually ship.

Well, the good part is she REALLY wants the item. I've been a nervous buyer before when an item hasn't been recieved when it was expected. I haven't sent THAT many emails, though. I think she just needs some hand holding.
