In the past month this site has grown tremendously because of the eBay exodus. For creative items this is a great place to sell. There are a couple of unique clothing designers and other creative types who are doing very well there. Hope you'll reconsider and at least give it a try for a month or so.
I may just have to look into it again. My biggest fear was to spend the money, which I know isn't a lot, but money is tight for us right now, and nobody goes there. I will research again. Thanks for the update!

Also Bonanzle lets you use Google Checkout, as an alternative to Paypal.
Check out some of the other threads here. Paypal does not offer true seller/buyer protection for transactions that occur outside of eBay. They only guarantee that you will get a package; but not that the package actually contains what you purchased, that it is in the condition that the seller stated it would be in or that if it is not authentic that you can have a refund. Paypal only guarantees that if you purchase something that you will get a package.

In the upper left-hand corner of the screen is a "What's Sold" link. This will give you an idea of the types of items that are selling there. Att minimum you could think of onlineauction.com as $8.00 a month advertizing to pull buyers to your selling site.

BTW - I'm redecorating my in-home office in with a pink/brown motif. Since I'm a sales manager for a women's cosmetics company, my office tends to be very "girly". I have a couple of Chanel prints that I will incorporate into the redecorating.

In any case, I envy that you are creative. I'm a "circles and squares" kind of girl, where everything must be perfectly lined up and symetrical; this tends to ruin the creativity gene!

I registered for onlineauction but before I paid the money I looked at some of their founding members. Turned out that many of them were no longer selling on the site or appeared to be selling low quantities. Maybe they only needed to sell a few things but I do, so I held back from signing up.

I don't resent the payment or the site making money. I am just not convinced that they have the traffic.

Just my opinion.. I might come back to thtem, but not yet.

Default Thank you(Clapping)!
Hello TPF!

@aimtree: Thank you for starting this thread.

What a great addition TPF has been to Bonanzle! We are proud to have you in our community. My daughters are *really* excited to see your items on Bonanzle

It is a very exciting time to be at Bonanzle! Though we just departed Beta on August 31st, we are still adding new features daily. Most of our new features are a direct result of our user feedback. On our home page at the bottom you will see a "What's New" link where founder and master programmer Bill Harding keeps a diary of our daily updates to Bonanzle.

please take a moment to read our rules, you may not advertise here.

We love your energy and what you are doing. Great signatures too!

Take care,

hey, thanks for the post! I'm glad you appreciate the TPF members. . I know it seems weird as we were all talking about your business, but I don't think its really allowed that the business owner talk about their businesses on the forum if you see what I mean. It's the same with people selling, they can't mention the specifics of the items they're selling, it's just a forum rule:)

I was actually going to ask the same question.

I have had my listings (all pop art prints) up for about 5 days now, and still no sales.

However, my listings on eBay, I pretty much sell anywhere between 1-3 prints per day. Now, I realize that Bonanzle doesn't have anywhere near the traffic that freakbay does (not yet, at least), but I was just curious if anybody has sold anything yet?

Do share....

Bonanzle...welcome!!!!! We're pulling for your site.

I think it will still take time to get the traffic, but I'm going to list my stuff anyway since it's free. It looks like more users are joining everyday, and I can see people are viewing the booths (from the booth & product count), but they aren't buying too much yet. People seem to get excited when there is a sale, so maybe having a little 5% "Bonanza" will help (which you can do once a month).Participating in the forums there also helps your booth get noticed.
If you need to sell consistently it would probably be best to have your stuff in multiple sites for the max visibility.

Anybody sell anything yet? I am about to do a little closet clearing and am paranoid about suspensions to be. I have several designer bags that may flag the almighty authorities of eBay. Still, I want to sell quickly so I can buy a new bag or two. Are we truly stuck between a rock and a hard place until Bonanzle becomes common knowledge? Does Bonanzle do any newspaper advertising or can it be discovered only through a search engine?

Great! I noticed more registered users today... *keeping fingers crossed* sales are going to be in our near future! LOL

I guess it really just takes time, since it's a new site. Good thing there is no listing fees, so out items is just there for potential buyers to see. Unlike with ebay, there is a fee for e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g! Ugh!

Why don't you have a 'Bonanza'? It directs all traffic to your site at the time & date specified?
Also I am going to try ecrater- it's supposed to be free to list there too. Can't hurt to have stuff listed at both sites.
