I was just wondering where we stand with Paypal protection when buying/selling on this site...as it's not an ebay purchase are buyer's just covered for non receipt of goods? and not SNAD?

I think as long as your PayPal account is verified/confirmed.. the buyer/seller is protected. I know somebody who had a transaction outside ebay and the buyer filed a SNAD, she had all the back ups (i.e. emails, pics) and she won the case.

Paypal has protection within itself, not just with ebay. Read their website for more details.
Also Bonanzle lets you use Google Checkout, as an alternative to Paypal.

I have been really upset this past week with evilbay and all the drama surrounding my selling limits. I have appealed and appealed to no avail. I am one of the many sellers being screwed over. I have been feeling so helpless and concerned about my bills and what this month is going to be like without my ebay income.

Well, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has commented in this thread. You convinced me and I have made the jump to Bonanzle! You were right. It is SO easy to import my evilbay listings and feedback. I even emailed the Bonanzle guy Mark to say hello and he replied instantly and it was really him. Not a generated response. So cool! I'm crossing my fingers this works and am doing my part to spread the word among friends and family. I want to wish everyone from tpf who sells and is trying Bonanzle good luck!!

Sure, I don't have a ME page, but I was thinking of sneaking in something like: For more items go to bonanzle.com in my listings..... probably leave out the www. because that might flag the listing? that way it is a website link but not really.

Well I am in the UK and I have registered today with no problem and have imported my feedback from Ebay. All very easy. Got to decide what to list now!

Come on UK girls get registering

onecreativegirl, it's a flat $8.00 a month to sell on onlineauction.com for up to 1000 listings, with no listing or final value fees whatsoever. You can also set your auctions up to auto-relist until they sell. This is a great deal.

In the past month this site has grown tremendously because of the eBay exodus. For creative items this is a great place to sell. There are a couple of unique clothing designers and other creative types who are doing very well there. Hope you'll reconsider and at least give it a try for a month or so.

Per your suggestion, Steve, I have tried to list a small percentage of my pop art prints directly from my website, and have only sold two—and that was to a buyer of my pop art from *bay (because I disclose my website URL in all of my listings). So it seems, even with my account with Google Ad Words, I'm not getting the traffic I desire.

So for now, I HAVE to post on *bay until my traffic increases. I hate having to pay somebody else fees when I have my own website, but traffic is key. Who else is going to buy?
If someone reports to eBay that you are including a selling link in your auctions or on your About Me page, eBay will close your auctions.

Onlineauction.com encourages sellers to add selling links.

It is not a live link, meaning if someone clicks on it, it won't go to my site. You actually have to either copy & paste it or type in your browser's window, which is legal in eBay. I just can't include a live link, so there is no http:// before the www. Just like the rules on tPF.

Also, when I mention my website/URL in my listings, it ONLY says "to check out my portfolio, go to...."

Doesn't say anything about purchasing my pop art prints there, but once you go there, it's on my homepage.
