I had two sales immediately on bonanzle... and now I can't sell any of my items for the life of me... not even a peep from potential buyers (although my items have been "tagged" as "beautiful" and "well-priced") ... arg!

ALL of my bals sold REALLY QUICK.. still a good demand for Bal. Other brands took longer and had to be priced pretty cheap. Some of the other brands of bags that I sold this year, I sold for as much as 50% less than I paid in 2008. SAD.. but that is the economy we have right now.

How does Bonanzle work? I am eyeing one bag there and the listing said OBO (which im thinking is Or Best Offer, please correct me if im wrong).

So do i just email the seller and start to negotiate? like can i offer it at a lower amount than the listed price?

Yes, Yes, Yes... You can make a formal offer or message the seller and negotiate first via messaging. At some point tho, you actually make your formal offer via OBO for the seller to accept, so that you can complete the transaction and pay. To make a formal offer on an OBO item... you ADD TO CART, then CHECKOUT. At checkout, you change the asking price to what you want your offer to be.... or the final agreed upon price.

I have never really brought much from Ebay because I as a buyer got a tab bit tired of the paranoid behavior there. Too many requirements just to get what you came looking for. I came upon this site called www.bonanzle.com about a month ago and brought a 350.00 handbag with no problems. So there are people there buying. Every buyer is not on ebay.

You can press the button and make the seller an offer they either decline or accept your offer and if they have a payment service you simply click it and pay for the item if they accepts your offer. I like this better than bidding for what I want or buy it now, at least I get to communicate with the seller and ask a lot of question. The lady was nice and polite and not paranoid and suspicious of my questions and my buy.

Aha, this is what I came looking for. Knew you'd have the answers on here somewhere.

Anyway folks, please keep EVERYTHING crossed for me as I may be in the process of finally making my first sale through Bonanzle.

I am nervous - she made a very good offer and I said yes, then she asked how to pay... I replied.

But I'm still nervous! It's my most expensive item ever.

It seemed too easy after being on there almost from the start and selling nothing LOL!

Carole, don't be nervous they might actually buy, I did and I kind of liked the fact you can negotiate the price with the seller. I don't believe in low-balling for an expensive item though. But I like the idea of being able to ask the seller questions and they have a instant message board so you can talk to the person immediate rather than wait until they answer an email.

I'm trying to list a Bal on Bonanzle, and every time I hit save, it shows the price as $1. Obviously...the price is NOT $1, and even though I keep changing the price to what I want it to be, it keeps reverting to $1. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind, I tried it for the 10th or 11th time, and it worked. GO figure!

OK - now am v nervous. She's not v communicative, didn't authenticate here....
BUT she paid .

However, the day she paid was the day of my DDs op and she stated she expected it in the post immediately (Friday) - POs aren't open here at weekends.

As it happened, I WAS able to get to the PO after the op, bit frantic, but I made it.

Now, however (early hours of Monday morning), I've just received an email from her just saying "forgot to ask, what value did you declare?"

It's 3am here so I'm not going to reply to her now, but naturally I declared full value as I wouldn't get insurance otherwise...

I'm thinking the worst and she's going to refuse it :-(

*sigh* Any advice?? How shall I word my response to her in the morning?

Off to bed now... hope someone can advise. TIA.

I just sold my first item, and I am waiting for the funds in my Paypal account. I was nervous that I wouldn't sell anything... I listed a bunch of authentic Coach bags from my personal collection for less than $50... I mean, come on!

See, I find things to be higher priced than eBay. I want a 2007 legacy in clay. There's one listed but for $250 OBO. The ones on eBay have been selling for as low as $127.50!! I want to make an offer, but don't want to seem like I'm low balling the seller.
