I just wondered what people thought of it and if they would consider selling their bags on an alternative site to ebay?
I think the main problem is that because it's a new site, there are few people selling, which would restrict potential buyers visiting the site, but it is free to list so requires no financial commitment which is good.
What do people think about this site?

THANK YOU for setting up this thread!

Note: I am not an ebay fangirl, just a realist.

I hate feeling like the negative nancy (and I've just had this conversation with my MIL), but if you were buying something, you'd go straight to eBay, right? eBay is a buyer's heaven, especially right now. So far this month on eBay I have bought New York Yankees Barbie, glasses for my American Girl Molly doll, a wallet, and a sunglasses case. There's just not that much "stuff" on other sites.

As a seller, I hate eBay and I wish that our other store could bring in the traffic to make eBay not necessary but the fact is it doesn't. But as a buyer eBay is the first place I head.

My MIL decided that we're going to set up shop on onlineauction.com (in addition to, not instead of ebay) and while I am going to go along with it, I expect very little. There is no reason for anyone to shop there while eBay still exists.

I hope one of these new sites takes off. But I am not holding my breath.

I have never heard of this sight until recently and checked it out. I saw only 2 LV listings and know that it's a new sight that will grow. Everyone knows ebay and I don't know how long it will take for other sites to get similar traffic? I need to sell my stuff now and don't really think that I will be able to sell my stuff on bonanzle like I was on ebay. I will give it a try and keep my fingers crossed that it will be painless LOL!

With the rate at which eBay chases sellers away (and buyers too, now that they are forcing all buyers and sellers to pay via Paypal by October), I am sure the traffic will increase exponentially. It's not like the people on eBay are happy with it and many are searching for alternatives. It'll probably be quicker to vacate than evilBay arrogantly assumes, after which only fraudsters and tricksters are going to remain and no one's really going to buy/sell on the site anymore. Of course, it takes a bit of time, but I wouldn't be so confident if I were eBay.

Right, nothing to lose by listing on Bonanzle since they aren't charging listing fees at the moment. For now I plan to use both sites, and sneak in a bonanzle link on the ebay listings. What are they going to do...remove the listing? lol

Everyone should go write bonanzle.com in their siggies. Remember we're going to direct traffic. So please stop listing items on the bay.
Also if you're going to buy something from the bay, tell the seller to go list their items in bonanzle in future. Pointing people in that direction and raising awareness is what we need to do.
I'm going to do it now.

I'll try. Good idea.

I'm sure Pierre responded to all of his e-mails in the beginning, as well.

That's what I did, as well. Pretty cool, huh? I even had my feedback transferred over.

I guess now, I wait. Wait and hope that people will peruse the site and purchase some of my art.

isn't it neat??? I did that to mine too.. it's sooo easy to set up listings on bonanzle. The only con for me right now is that we can only upload up to 4 pics.

You can upload 4 FREE pics. If you need more, they charge you....that's what I remember anyway. It's still more generous than ebay!

Default Too good to be true?
I was updating my "booth", when I got this message:

Hey, beta user! You're grandfathered in not to pay final value fees until March, 2009. Life is good!
