congrats! Do you know how the buyer found you? I only sold one thing because this same person bought a matching handbag from me on the bay, so I told her if she wants the wallet at lower price, she could go here. and she bought it, and she thanked me for saving her money.

I will try to do that and check mine.
I just checked my stats, and shock, the majority of the hits are on my Louis Vuitton & Balenciaga prints. Go figure.

Must be lots of you tPF ladies!

Does anyone know how long it takes for your item to show up?

Hi there,

I thought I'd take a stab at your questions since I've sold two items so far. Right now, everything I have listed is makeup and skincare items. I had a Coach Wallet and a Coach scarf also on Ebay and Bonanzle, but the Ebay listings sold first.

1. I priced my items at about the same I would a BIN on ebay, but also have a OBO next to the price as well. A full-size MAC pigment is $19.50 + tax, I listed mine for $20 and they are all limited edition or discontinued.

2. My buyers accepted the offer outright, so apparently they thought my price was fair. I had no other offers at all.

3. I unfortunately, didn't check my hits before the items sold, but one is a multiple item listing, so I checked and I had around 14 hits before the item sold, which isn't a bad hit/sale ratio.

4. I've had the best luck with MAC makeup. The rest of my items haven't sold yet, but fingers crossed! If it keeps going well, I plan to list a few bags and other stuff before the fee change at the end of October.

And I'm just taking Paypal at the moment, and money orders. Both buyer paid with paypal, payment was immediate and very welcome since evil Paypal is holding all my Ebay payments right now and the Bonanzle sales go right through.

HTH!

2) Did your buyers buy the items outright, or did they make offers that you accepted? Did you have mutiple offers, or just that one, perfect buyer?

3) Did you check how many people viewed your listing before the item sold? Were your listings viewed a lot?

4) Have you sold anything else besides handbags? Anyone having luck with designer clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc.?

I'm just curious about your experiences. I have listed several things in all of the above categories, but I don't seem to be getting much traffic. I'm trying to assess whether it's my pricing, or whether people just aren't interested in what I'm selling. I'm sure i just have to be patient:) At any rate, it seems like people are joining Bananzle pretty steadily. It's up to 3,551 at the moment!

It says your items will show up in search results within an hour of posting. I listed something yesterday, and it showed up right away. Maybe it depends on how busy the site is when you're listing.

Thanks for answering my questions, Jupiter! I figure if we get enough input, it will help everyone figure out what to sell and how to price our items. Like a little tPF market research project:) Congrats on your sales!!

I've always thought about the risks of selling with so little profit, and if someone files a dispute or do a chargeback, then I'll be totally screwed. But I kept going because all my buyers had been great. Until now... So I'm quitting after all my bags are gone, I think I have less than 5 at this moment, which hopefully I can sell on bonanzle before Christmas.
Relisting on ebay is my last resort becuase I will have to put giant big note "Anyone with Asian last names, plesae do not buy".

Sorry to hear about your trouble with ebay. I must have missed your thread. My last name is asian by marriage. Why can't you sell to anyone with asian last names?

I think that's a bit much and I find it quite offensive!

People who didn't read her thread will find it offensive, but ebay really did a number on her and her asian buyers.

I am sorry if I have offended some of you, I am Chinese, and Ebay has reversed almost all items I sold if the buyer has an Asian last name, you can see my post here:
HELP!!!! Paypal reversal payment - how and who?

I was just joking when I said that because i think if I sell to another asian name person, they will immediately reverse that payment regardless if I have sent the item or not!
