Traffic is crucial. We have to decide on one site and direct everyone here to there!
It takes time but better than everyone hemming and hawing here.

We could sneak a link to bonanzle.com at the bottom of our ebay listings, and mention that there are items being sold there as well? That may be a way to direct some traffic over. I have included links on my listings before and didn't have a problem with it-- in case ebay frowns on that sort of thing.

^ that sounds good to me. something like "for more items go to www.bonanzle.com" shouldn't be a problem.

Listings are also free until 10/2/2008. Those who signed up in August get free listings for 6 months! Unfortunately I missed this boat.

^ Contact them and ask for the offer! I'm sure they want all the traffic they can get.

Really? I did not know that. I signed up on 7/31/08, is that mean I get 6-months listings free too, or only applies to August members?

I don't remember, I think it was August or prior. It's on the website somewhere, probably where the fee notice is. There are no fees yet, but there will be next month so now is the time to get in and get your stuff listed from the sound of it. You will still pay a final value fee but no listing fee.

I found the info:

What does it cost to use Bonanzle?
Don't you hate how it usually takes like five pages of clicking around marketplace sites to get a straight answer on this question? Here's the scoop: Buying on Bonanzle is free. Selling on Bonanzle is almost free. It is completely free to post items for sale. If you set up your booth before the end of August, it will be completely free to sell your items for the next six months. If you set up your booth in September or later, here is what you'll pay when you sell items (Hint: it's not much).

It looks like its free for you!

^^ LOL, thanks for posting that! I didn't even bother look at the FAQs section. Really, the final value fee is dirt cheap compare the what eBay charges us!

No kidding, and I think I read somewhere that it's waived if you do a cash transaction- so locally, like Craigslist. Buy they do use Google Checkout and Paypal. So...still will have to deal with Paypal unless you like Google checkout better. The fees will still be reduced, so that's a plus.
From the user count, it looks like a lot of people are signing up daily!

I think it's a shame that it's FREE if it's under $10, but under $50 it's $1. My pop art prints/listings are only $13, and eBay charges $1.14 FVF. Whereas this site is saying that I have to pay the same fee for a $13 item as a $49 item? That doesn't seem right to me. I think he/she (whoever is running it) should make the fee $25 & under at $1, not $50.

Just my 2¢.

Well, I am going to eat my words (for now) and I just finished creating a selling account with Bonanzle as well as importing all of my current *bay auctions.

I guess we will see what happens. Wish me luck (and everybody else).

It's a really nice site, BTW. Easy to navigate—unlike sh*tbay.

For those eBay/PayPal veterans, do you remember PayPal used to be efficient, fair and friendly? They changed since they were bought out by evilbay. Sure, the PP founder got paid and being rich, but PayPal has turned to be another evil place. I sincerely pray for all those auction/selliing sites can stand independently and strong.

I totally agree. The business is getting started and they want to lure ebayers over there.
